Set in the heart of Avenida da Liberdade, at a charismatic building of the XVIII Century. Dom Sancho I is located within the sophisticated area of Avenida da Liberdade, close to typical "bairros" (neighbourhoods) like "Bairro Alto" and "Alfama". Nearby you will find the best shops, theatres and restaurants of Central Lisbon . Dom Sancho I offer you the best location and comfort at a very competitive price in one of the most valued areas of Portugal 's capital. Its cosy atmosphere will make you feel at home. Our staff welcomes you and will do everything to offer you a pleasant staying. Dom Sancho I enjoys a privileged location in the heart of Lisbon. Located on Avenida Da Liberdade, the main avenue, the typical city districts of Alfama and Bairo Alto are only a short walk away. Lisbon's popular shopping and entertainment areas are close by, as are the city's business districts.

Nice Hotel for the Price

The hotel was perfect for a short stay or day trip. An older building with modern amenities, it was very clean and the staff was excellent. I wouldn't recommend for large families expecting "Big Name" style.

Mom and Daughter trip

Great location, right in the heart of Lisboa. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are not luxorious but adequate for tourists. We slept and showered at the hotel but spent the majority of our time site seeing and enjoying Lisboa.

Very reasonable price hotel

Hotel is located on a access road off a busy street in Lisbon. We arrived on Sunday for a Monday cruise departure. Nothing was open in the area on Sunday-shopping or restaurants. We ended finding a small grocery store around the corner & made our own lunch & ate on a park bench in front of the hotel. A metro stop was just 2 blocks away and we find a huge mall off one of the stops & that was where everyone was on a Sunday. The hotel was neat & clean, rooms are very small but for one night is was o.k. The odd thing about the hotel is when you enter from the street there is no lobby. You have to walk up (or take elevator) 2 flights of stairs to find the entrance to the hotel. Very odd but no harm.

Residencial Dom Sancho I only OK

Tiny rooms. Too much trouble with internet access; no internet in rooms, only in the lobby, and difficult to stay on-line there. Very helpful staff though. They made us feel welcome.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Check for lower rates and better deal at Hotel Dom Carlos Liberty. It cost less with a real breakfast included and with nicer room. We moved there after three nights at Dom Sancho.

Good value, great location

Super location. You can walk right into town from here. Small but quiet rooms. Our room faced the inner courtyard which helped but we could not even hear any of the other activities taking place in the hotel

good location, bad karma

THE LEAST FRIENDLY STAFF I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED, from check in to check out ... [...] The breakfast was not much - and not at all what was shown on the hotel's own brochure. I don't know what they would have charged for it, but if I had been paying separately, I would have gone out to a cafe, of which there are tons nearby, with pastries amd decent coffee ... That being said, the rooms were clean, the shower excellent, and the location very convenient, but elsewise, the stay was not great.

Nice experience

Nice hotel. Friendly staff! Located not far from a walk downtown. Lots of high-end places to shop and good food in the area! If you're looking for a place to rest that is clean and cozy, Dom Sancho would be a good choice at a good price! I will stay again!
