This is a clean 3-star hotel.
This is a clean 3-star hotel. Don't expect any more facilities like a gym, sauna or swimmingpool. It's just a clean room and that's it. Breakfast is overpriced for a country like Romania with 12 euro pppd. Some of the staff is nice, others were very formal. Location is ok, but not the best. Good for bussiness, but for fun it's better to be near the Lipscany area (old town), which is a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Overall... I enjoyed my stay for a good price.

You need to know where this is.. VFM
the hotel itself is very good. It is behind the Hotel Royale and this you would need to know in order to find it. No-one knew where the hotel was situated and you need to be sure you say NH Bucharest and not just NH. It is a little bit away from the centre but not too far. I wouldn't recommend to lone female travellers but fine for anyone else. Very clean and friendly and modern used by business folk as well as pleasure. It is close to Union Square and the University (last stop on the bus from Bucharest airport)

Long walk from hotel
The restaurant was called Carel Cu Bere and was traditional romanian food with live music in a very old building that looked fabulous. Wasn't too expensive and also was in the middle of the old town so was a buzzing atmosphere on the walk there. About 20 minute walk but worth it.
