Great hotel in great location
Checking in was a little confusing.. we upgraded the room to get a king size bed and when we checked in they were trying to give us a twin. they did change the room with no problems..other than that. friendly people, fantastic location, clean, comfortable room, beautiful restrooms.. no other problems!!! I would definitely stay again

Great!!
air conditioning went out, but staff ensured i was cool. My view of all of downtown was the bomb!

5 Star American Standard
I had to go back to attend a funeral. So my American Wife stayed with me in this hotel. Just get down to the lobby and take about approx. 200 steps outside the hotel and there you are, inexpensive food (U.S $2), lots of shopping centers just to name a few. 500 steps and you are in Chinatown. 600 steps and you have the MRT (Mass Rapid Transportation, the underground subway). Across the street there is American food, Subway, Pizza Hut, etc. You can order on the phone and have KFC, MacDonald, Pizza, etc, delivered to your room.

Money-saving tip:
In Hotel
Do not buy the internet options in the hotel, they charge Sing Dollars $25 for one day or S$15 for one hour. Across the street in the shopping center, there are internet cafes, S$2-S$3 per hour use. Use [...] to book and if you stay here for more than 3 days booking, the hotel breakfast is free. If not you have to pay S$24 per person for breakfast. US$1.00 is about S$1.33. Across the street there are many food places that you can get fresh cooked food for US$2 to US$3 per meal. Real cheap.

All rooms at this hotel have recently been fully refurbished and as such at these prices represent excellent value. The shower though has an annoying design and the light above the basin is incomprehensively dim! Fast, efficient & friendly service from all staff.

I had a recently renovated room
I had a recently renovated room on 4th floor. It was very quiet. There was no alarm clock in the room. Great location across the street from Chinatown and a short walk to either Chinatown or Clarke Quay MRT stations.
