Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel Singapore

Stayed for 2 nights on the way to Europe. Staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. Received an upgrade to the executive club level which made the stay even more enjoyable. Would stay here again.

[...]. All we got was a room..... If we wanted internet it was an additional $15.00 a day. Any breakfast started at $48.00 a day. I was paying around $200.00 a night so I did not expect basic charges to be added. Disaponting.

We are shoppers and Hotel is too far away from the action. You need to catch cabs (taxi's are cheap and no hassles in Singapore). Bit stingy on giving 1 bar of soap for 3 people. Other wise hotel is genuine 4 star and staff pleasant. Reported a blown light and they had it fixed by the time we returned that day - good result.

We had booked a Club room, the room was very dated and badly in need of renovation, so we were transfered to the next catagory of room, that was better as it had a seperate shower and two easy chairs. We were told that all rooms were in the process fo renovation. The location of the hotel is very scenic, with the opportunity of walks along the river, but not convienient for the MRT, so it meant paying for plenty of taxis, average cost to most areas $6. We found the staff in the executive club and the duty managers to be very helpful and professional.

We booked a triple room but on arrival were upgraded to a serviced apartment. The only negative regarding the accommodation is the location which is a little way from the main tourist areas and there is no metro nearby. However, it only takes about 15 minutes to walk to Chinatown and taxis are readily available. We were very happy with the accommodation and would use it again.

We spent three nights at this hotel. I cannot say the room was grand in size but quite adequate. We had breakfast daily which was good value. You need to get a taxi from this area, but taxi's are very reasonable and most tours pick up and deliver you back to hotel. If was a lovely walk along the riverside past the many hotels where it is peaceful during the day and comes to life at night. The whole Singapore experience was wonderful.

It was a good stay. Friendly staffs and definitely enjoyed the privileges of the executive club. The lounge was cosy.

This hotel is no more than 25 mins from the airport by taxi. The hotel seemed to be very busy all the time when I was there. But we were not left out of attention. The room size and comfort is great. Except for the old fashioned small tv. I have a 52 inch. So, it was like watching little ants on tv in the hotel. The location considered to be pretty good to get around. There are near by small hawkers just right across the hotel if you don't like hotel foods like me. I got my indian tea and indian breads every morning from there. And there are malaysian and chinese foods as well. And by bus, less than 10 mins ride there is a large hawker center in Red Hill District. On the other side another about 13 mins bus ride to Chinatown (People's Park) Hawker Center. We came to Singapore mainly to EAT, then visit a couple of friends and relatives. We did pretty well by traveling local buses and getting around. Singapore is about foods. So, we did just that. There aint not much to see here, and I don't care too much about sight seeing because I only like to eat and sleep. Hehehe!

Enjoyed my stay. Very nice suite. Very friendly staff & will definitely stay there again.
