Although having contacted the hotel in advance mentioning late check-in, they did not reserve the room required, and provided a twin rather than a king-size bed. Being a busy season is not an excuse for a 5-star hotel, and you shouldn't expect your guests to be willing to move around rooms during their stay, to accommodate your over-booking.

Would suggest some seat for the balcony. Very central to most amenities.

Very nice hotel in good area (of course, pretty much all of Singapore is a good area). However, the breakfast was an expensive, poorly organized, under impressive affair. The internet is pricey too. The staff was very good, nice and professional. There is no outlets in the bathroom to plug in hairdryer. You must dry your hair at the work desk in the bedroom. Not the best location for walking as the traffic just outside the hotel is very fast and it is hard to cross the street. For the cost of this hotel, (apx $350/night), I would find better overall value elsewhere. But don't get me wrong, this is still a very nice hotel.

This hotel is really 4+ stars . . . everything was great but nothing was perfect per se. The room was a little small but had a great view and was updated very nicely. In a great location and the staff were all very friendly and approachable. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you are looking for good luxury in a great location for a reasonable price (for a hotel of this caliber).

For a reasonably priced hotel in the heart of the city (walking distance to waterfront and Singapore Flyer) the Marina Mandarin provides good value. Location is perfect for easy access to everything in the city. The rooms are clean, though starting to show their age. An updated phone system (noisy) is hopefully in the future. The current daily rate for WiFi is a tad high even for Singapore.

Good hotel and good service. Nothing to complain about. The breakfast was nice and the staff makes your life easy. The hotel is getting slightly old and the design is not so up todate, that would be the only caveat.

Hotel was quite spectacular and in a good location. Staff were good and helpful. We had problems with the room, however, that I would not expect with a five-star hotel. Room was not very clean, i.e. garbage under the bed, dusty lamps with damaged lampshades, had to call for towels twice since they did not leave any, no hot water in shower. After talking to hotel manager, he moved us to an upgraded room for the remainder of the stay. We were there for six nights and they did not give us preference for a room with a bay view, even though we had pre-paid and booked a deluxe room. Hotel restaurants were very expensive. A nice place to stay but it should have been much better for the price.

Good location, best for travelers However, sometimes I thought I'm not in a hotel but a school (cause this hotel does not like traditional hotel)

It is a very nice hotel. Actually I find the architecture quite amazing. We did not really use any of the facilities of the hotel, but the staff was very helpfull, i.e. we got our room in the early morning of our arrival even though check-in time is 14.00, and the room was nicely made up every day. We got complementary water and apples every day. The location is within a reasonable walking distance from the subway and from the city proper. All in all good value for the money.

Good location... 10 mins walks to Esplanade and marina bay. close to MRT station. And just across the road to Suntec hub of city sightseeing bus (Hippo service)... If you not aim for shopping but rather going around... this is better than staying in the orchard..
