Fantastic location & wonderful staff
Location is great, right on Clarke Quay & near Metro station &. Bus stops. Also shopping centre over road for breakfast etc. We were upgraded for free & the free Internet in our room was wonderful as our first Grandson had just been born! All the staff were extremely attentive ,helpful & friendly & couldn't do enough for you. As we had a late flight the use of all amenities & especially the shower s near the gym were most welcome. I would really recommend this hotel.

I want to go back
From the moment I check to the moment I left I felt like I was at home. I do not know how this is not 5 star. Everyone was so friendly and the service was excellent. The room was so comfortable and great views of Singapore. I couldn't find fault with anything and I will definitely be back there next time I stay in Singapore. Every member of staff I dealt with were so friendly and anything I asked they went out of their way to help. Location was great and everything you could walk to. Thanks for a great stay and my 2 great night sleep.

Great tourists location
hotel check in pretty slow as the receptionist does not seen to be well experienced . Depends where the rooms are located otherwise noises from the Clark quay area outside can be heard inside the room. Amenities in the room is satisfactory except there are no sets of large drawers to place personal items and only 1 bedside table for a king size bedroom.

Good hotel, great location, will go back. We tired of each meal being primarily buffet style, but regular menues were to be had and restaurants abound in the neighborhood.

Location is great for business
Well done and well located for business. I checked out, but because my flight was late, I used the business centre for five hours after check out. They also provided a "hospitality room" (in the spa) to freshen up befor going to the airport-at no charge

Great rooms and location
The Swissotel Merchant Court is in a perfect location to just walk to the Singapore Harbor area, in fact, Taxis can't even get you any further past of where the hotel is located, which is right at the beginning of the pedestrian only area. The rooms are fairly large and luxurious. The hotel lobby needs a bit improvement to create a more cozy feeling. Overall, this hotel is not inexpensive, but offers a great value.

Above Average Experience
Honestly - from the start of the visit until the end, I was quite happy with the service. Especially in comparison to hotels in Singapore, this one really stood out. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Great Hotel Great Location Great Value
I looked at many properties and have stayed in many 5 star properties in Singapore but this was a real deal, excellent service, fair prices and the best location on the Quay. Even when it was raining one could still walk under covered areas and enjoy all the shops and restaurants. It is also right adjacent to China town where bargins and street food abound. I only had one challenge and that was my room was above some construction. However, when I called the Manager he quickly moved me to a quite room and even upgraded me to a newly refurbished room with flat screen TV, the new decor, and the new amenities which included a brew a cup coffee machine. I have always liked Swiss Hotel properties and this is one of the best. You won't go wrong. Oh yes, forgot to mention the 24 hour fitness and the large beautiful pool. It is one of the best facilities ever and the Blue Potato restaurant by the pool is an award winning restaurant that should not be thought of as just a place to have a bite by the pool. It is one of the few places I have ever seen with a full onsight open grill kitchen with 2 chefs preparing fresh asian and American dishes.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
I found a great Dim Sum restaurant in the shopping mall just 5 minutes from the hotel on the 3rd floor. Of course if you really want a fun and cheep way to eat go to China Town. There are food stalls everywhere and you can graze from stand to stand and have all you could possibly eat for a few dollars. Night life abounds on the Quay. You can literally find every thing from burgers and tacos to Italian, Seafood, French, Indian and everything inbetween. One place I found right outside the hotel offered 2 for 1 beers and set lunch and dinner prices. I had a complete 1/2 rost chicken and 2 pints of German beer for a very fair price. The owners are locals and visit every table to make sure everthing is ok. Oye yes, I forgot, for years Singapore has been know to be unfriendly to the LGBT community but that is no more. In fact, at this hotel I thought, gosh there seem to be a fair number of LGBT people here, both staying and working. Then I googled LGBT Singapore and found that this hotel was listed as one of the best LGBT friendly hotels. Oh yes, there are many LGBT places very close. Don't be afraid to ask. Singapore has opened itself to the pink dollar.

Stopover/Short Break
Loved the location of this hotel .. out the door and Clarke Quay was there and China Town and Marine Bay a short walk. Would have liked to been allowed to stay late in room as had a midnight flight but they did provide luggage storage and shower facilities if needed.

Go to Liang Shopping Centre and eat in the food hall for good value and decent food. Wine is very expensive in Singapore take some with you.
