Excellent hotel and great size
Excellent hotel and great size standard room (Kallang). The more expensive Marina Bay view rooms indeed have very nice skyline views but for longer stays you might as well opt for the cheaper Kallang Bay rooms which are equally nice and also have unobstructed views to green parks, water and Suntec City. The newly opened Promenade MRT is just steps away (elevator down to level 1 and use the exit near the meeting rooms). Recommend the Marina Square Food Loft food court located at level 4 of Marina Sqare Mall for inexpensive but delicious (and clean) food. All-in-all a very nice stay. We found a very good rate (below USD 200) including breakfast - would however reconsider if room rate was as high as what is usually listed on the hotel web site or without breakfast.

Spacious and nicely equiped rooms with excellent views. Toiletries a funny mixture of very nice Bvlgari ones and standard (hotel brand) ones on random days - not a real problem but found it a bit strange. All-in-all very good value for money for the price we paid (about half the rate of what could be found on the hotel website).

A very good and edfficiently run
A very good and edfficiently run hotel.Breakfast needs to be more varied and shoud include Indian/Pakistani dishes as well.Room entertainment is not upto current levels.Shuttles should be introduced specially for Orchard Road and also to Vivo shopping centre.

I've long been a fan of Ritz Carlton,
I've long been a fan of Ritz Carlton, and particularly Ritz Carlton Millenium Singapore for its luxury oversized bedroom and the unparalleled view right from its bathtub. Some of its furniture is a bit worn out, though, but if you can afford it do give it a try. It can well be a memory of your life.

Outstanding personal service from
Outstanding personal service from all staff encountered ~ what you expect from a luxury hotel. The stay at the Ritz was not disappointing (except that it was too short!). Staff remembered your name and everyone went the extra mile. Hotel is connected to Marina & Suntec shopping centres and you can walk to Raffles City via an underground concourse (i.e. in air conditioning!) which is handy. Our room was bright and well maintained. The tub with a view facing the city is a special bonus. The only negative item was the construction on the new hotel/casino located next door on the Bay side, but this would impact all hotels located in the Suntec /Marina Bay area. Pile-driving occurred one night starting at about 4 AM lasting almost an hour before being shut down until about 7:30 AM). Sensitive sleepers might want to check with the Ritz first about the state of the building next door ! Otherwise a wonderful & relaxing experience.
