Luxury shouldn't exclude playfulness so The Grand Daddy has infused all its rooms and communal spaces with magical creative touches to ensure that guests are pleasantly surprised by the unexpected, the humorous and the interesting. The Grand Daddy's warm and hospitable staff will guide you through this gentle journey throughout your stay by offering little-known information about the surrounds and the history whilst also performing the necessary business of hotels in a calm and caring manner Of course, The Grand Daddys big talking point is its penthouse trailer park, where a collection of vintage Airstream caravans nestle beneath the backdrop of Table Mountain. Each of the 7 two-sleeper trailer suites have been conceptualized and designed by local artists and makes for an accommodation destination like no other. The Grand Daddy feels like a family-owned hotel and in some respects it is. It is a part of the Daddy Long Legs Group, who also brought us Cape Towns original art hotel, Daddy Long Legs, and the Daddy Long Legs Self Catering Apartments. The philosophy is simple provide excellent service, clean, comfortable rooms, a creative feel and charge less for it!
Grand Daddy Hotel Rooms
- Superior Room
- Chic yet delicately daring, the Grand Daddys rooms are subtle, stylish and silvery. Air-conditioned, en-suite and entertaining; the comforts of an internationally recognised four-star hotel room are made all the more delicious when peppered with clever local touches under the direction of Cape Town based décor-magician, Tracy Lynch.
Lampshades boast South African place names - from Poffadder to Polakwane - and headboards are bedecked with African-aloe silhouettes. Snug furry blankets add texture to cool cotton linen-whites, whilst geographic origami inspires you to plan your travels on silver-etched black globes.
Luxe out in your ensuite marble bathroom as you daydream about adventures, seeping in the ebb and flow of memories that you want to hold onto forever.

Start with breakfast! The Showroom Café serves an excellent range try a different one each day of your stay and has a variety of good mood food options for lunch and dinner.
The daily marketplace is a tempting spread of buffet salads, hot bakes and curries and gorgeous home-baked breads you can also go a la carte. Eavesdrop on Capetonians doing business over your morning coffee and papers, dine on fresh fish or a good cut of meat at dinner or indulge yourself with a night in and some room service. Note the extensive wine list too!
- Daddy Cool Bar
- Sparkly, shiny and more than a little bit reminiscent of the uber-decadent seventies decade; Daddy Cools is a lounge bar for dudes and divas with cool cuts, Afros and Abba-esque tresses. Golden shimmering surfaces shout Champagne on Ice, coat Martini olives in golden sensuality and bounces liquid light off happy holiday faces.
Its crazy like a fool
youll love Daddy Cools.
