A convenient location for the
A convenient location for the Watefront and splendid views of Table Top and Signal Hill from breakfast terrace. Although rooms were quite basic for the price they were certainly more than adequate given the location. Staff were all extremely helpful and efficient - prompt delivery of phone messages and emails to room, together with asistance in locating nearest cinema. Only quibble was the price of breakfast!

I found the hotel to be fine,
I found the hotel to be fine, in a great location situated just a 5 minute walk from both the Aquarium, the Waterfront, and thus all the top hotels, bars and restaurants associated with Cape Town. Due to this there is obviously a high security presence. Although I had read various reviews critical of this hotel, mainly due to the fact that the facilities are shared with a college, which also means that the restaurant/cafe is more like a student dining hall and with self-service. However, I didn't find this a problem and the food was adequate. I would definitely stay there again, especially if I was unable to pay the prices of the nearby hotels, which I am.

Safe, clean, friendly for business travelers or tourists
Friendly accommodating staff, and safe, quiet clean hotel. Interestingly located within UCT school of business grounds, but recommended for on the go business travelers, and tourists new to Cape Town. Short 5-7 min walk to V&A waterfront. Thanks for a great visit! Breakfast could be a bit cheaper, but local options readily available.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
Not to be missed fish & chips - best place in Cape Town just a 15-20min drive away (near Hout Bay Chapman's Peak drive) called Fish on the Rocks.

It does the job...
We stayed in this hotel during a stay in Cape Town. The location, 5 minutes walk from the V&A Waterfront hot spots was perfect and safe. The rooms were clean and of ample size, but the hotel itself was noisy (sound traveled throughout the entire floor) and smelled of smoke. The breakfast was delicious but expensive. Overall, if you arent looking for luxary, but for a good location and fair price - this was a good option.

Worth the money
We had a 3-4 person room. As you entered the room shower was on your right and toilet on the left. Both behind heavynsmoked glass doors. We had two rlooms. One room had two single beds the other had a double bed. Each room had a small tall closet, safe, refrigerator, coffee pot and.desk. The beds were fine for me as I prefer a firm bed. The shower water could get as HOT as you could handle. Our room was kept clean by the staff. Locations was excellent as it was within walking distance to the waterfront which we visited every night. There is security in the parking lot so your rental car is safe all night. Internet is Wifi but not free. Not expensive. But is purchased by the minutes. Be careful it will run down time if you do not logout. The Buffett breakfast is nice but expensive at 135 rand. I would suggest you walk to the waterfront where you can eat a good breakfast for about 50-70 rand. I felt safe in Cape town. There is lots of security. A modest police presence. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
We ate the waterfront frequently. Breakfast at the Mugg and Bean is a must. Lunch and dinner at Primi, the garlic bread with mozzarella was great. I am not a 'game meat' person so I did not try that. Pizza is a common food and is cooked in wood fired stoves, thin crust and very tastey. You find pizza every where. Salad eaters they have no dressing. Usually it is vinegar and oil. There sauces are a bit unusual so I would get them on the side in case you do not like them. I would suggest eating at Da Vinci on Kloopf which is on your way to Table Top Mountain. Great food. Be prepared to be at the restraunts for a while as they all ltake their time in serving and let you take your time in enjoying your dining experience. You have to ask for the bill or you will be there forever.
