Protea Hotel North Wharf

Extremely impressive apartment style rooms for very reasonable prices. Location was excellent as most tourist destinations are a short walk or a short cab ride away. Staff was helpful on several occassions, primarily when we were late for a dinner reservation the Hotel called the restaurant to maintain our reservation for us.

The Protea NW is ideally located for those who want to visit the V and A waterfront. The room was large with a kitchen, dining room, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Internet access is available. The pool on the 8th floor is nice but there are only about 3 -4 chairs to sit/lie on. Room service was excellent. The 630-1030 AM buffet breakfasts were excellent and could serve as breakfast and lunch. There were eggs, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, breads, pastries, coffee, tea, juices and just about everything one could ask for. Omelets, French toast, and waffles made to order-a great value.

I found this hotel to be very well positioned for access to the waterfront and the city. Good parking facilities, excellent breakfast, very friendly staff and well, what can I say about the room/apartment - enormous and very comfortable. My only negative comment is on the access to Wi-Fi which is limited.

Excellent apartment style room. Seperate kitchen, living room and bedroom. Two Tv's, a DVD player, big bathroom, balcony. The staff could not have been friendlier. Breakfast very good. Pool area on roof of the hotel small but never too busy. Free internet available. Excellent location. Only downside was no real bar atmosphere. They do serve drinks at night, but only from the area where breakfast is served in the morning.

This is a great find. The rooms are beautifully furnished one bedroom apartments with king beds, nicely appointed bathroom with bath and spacious shower, and fully equipped kitchen. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the spotless rooms were serviced daily. Only downside is that room service from nearby restaurant ends at 10:00pm. Very conveniently located near the Congress Center (1 block) and about 15 min walk from the Waterfront. Would definitely be my first choice for hotel on return to Cape Town.

Die Lage des Hotels mit knapp 15 Gehminuten zur Waterfront und einem Katzensprung zur Innenstadt ist optimal. Eine 2-Zimmersuite mit voll eingerichteter Küchenzeile lässt keine Wünsche offen. Zimmer und das ganze Hotel sind sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Für einen Kaptadttrip absolut empfehlenswert.
