Very comfortable
The staff are very efficient and willing to please. I've stayed at a variety of Cape Town hotels, and the work ethic here is among the very best. If you're trying to avoid Brits, though, stay elsewhere: I would estimate that half the clients staying here are from the UK. The breakfasts are good and varied, though there were flies around. The dining room does get hot in high summer, during the day, because of the glass ceiling. Room service was delivered on time, with hot food still hot. The gym is extremely good.

A perfect city + country family hotel
A country resort just a few minutes from Cape Town noisy waterfront. An excellent option for those who want to enjoy either the night or day silence of a green fresh exclusive traditional neighborhood hotel with plenty of comfort and good service . Be prepared to pay a 160 rand taxi fare to city downtown. Taxis from next door Cavendish Mall stop will charge you less than the hotel shuttle or taxis. However whenever you book a day tour, do it with a company that offer hotel pick up so that you save a taxi ride to city downtown. Nice all budget restaurants just a 5 min walk from hotel. Concierge desk from hotel really efficient. They book restaurants, confirm reservations, at last do whatever is expected from a concierge desk.

Money-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
Kirtenbosh Botanical Garden hop on hop off city sightseeing bus stop is just some minutes from hotel. Therefore if you want to save a lot on taxi rides , buy a city sightseeing tour ticket and take the bus from that stop instead of paying the taxi ride to Waterfront.

The Vineyard Hotel is a well presented
The Vineyard Hotel is a well presented hotel in an ideal location. The overall experience of all services provided was outstanding. The restaurant food quality was as good as we have experienced anywhere in the world and the waiters where very obliging and gave good service even when some clients were noticeably presumptuous and down right rude.

Everything but Internet
This is a fine hotel, with helpful friendly staff, good food, and comfortable, quiet rooms in a green oasis in Cape Town's southern suburbs. All would be perfect except the the internet service which was very slow, cut out often, and was sometimes non-existent. And the hotel does not appear to have anyone on staff who knows anything about it.

Bug Bitten
Bed Bugs Delight!
The only thing going for this hotel is the lobby area. Staff are at best competent, not really a compliment if you are serving international patrons. The room was comparable to a $30 a night Super 8 along the interstate. And even these don't come with the added no cost extras like bed bugs. This hotel is not good value for money and I would not recommend staying here.
