An excellent 3* hotel, close to all the best things Durban has to offer. Guests only have to cross the road to reach the beach. Parking is also available. A seven-storey modern structure overlooking Durban's Marine Parade and the Indian ocean. Ideally located on Durban's Golden Mile and within walking distance to the city's best shopping, restaurants, many seafront attractions such as Sea World and Fun World, as well as the Durban Convention Centre. Just 18 km's from Durban Airport.

Huge rooms, ocean views, breakfast

We had a pleasant stay at Beach Hotel with great views and breakfast included. The only down side was that there was only one computer with internet that didn't work and the wireless internet was very expensive. Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean although no one seemed to know anything about where to get a good meal in town!

hotel was right on the indian ocean ,local artisans set tents with there wares right in front of beach hotel

Spend $20 more and go other hotels

I can say location is good, but I overall quallity of hotel is not very good. I would say next time I will spend $20 more go to Protea hotel near this hotel.

the Beach Hotel maybe affordable

the Beach Hotel maybe affordable however if you are looking for comfort and modern facilities this is definitly not the place to book. service is yet to be desired here and staff are not friendly. facilities, staff and service should be upgraded to keep up with the times.

Great value. The corridors are a bit dank and gloomy though the rooms are quite nice for the price. Breakfast great. Free internet at reception. Great seaviews. Staff helpful. Certainly not 5 star but great value for the price.

had a lovely seaview but windows

had a lovely seaview but windows so filthy couldnt see through. Found huge cockroach crawling in our room.took todays for them to clear our dirty plates from outside the room.the lifts were not working properly.baby highchair filthy,sausages undercooked.

Overall, the stay was good as

Overall, the stay was good as we were only looking into a room to stay for most of the time, we were outside enjoying the city. Only one negative point : the bathroom should be cleaner. The curtain therein did not help and water was always flooding the floor and each and everytime one has a shower, the floor must be cleaned afterwards which is not convenient at all.

We stayed for the long weekend

We stayed for the long weekend in the Beach Hotel, our staying were good. We had an sea view room that make the viewing excellent. The breakfast are good but the Hotel needs to control the crowded people when their is a excessive amount of people.I will definitely stay again there.
