Great Location
Great location on the beach. Hotel is starting to show its age but nothing to complain about. Hotel staff was very helpful in arranging taxis, food recommendations, etc.

The Staff Makes The Difference
The Hotel Protea Edward provided an outstanding, helpful staff that assisted me with everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. Although the staff was excellent, The hotel did lack a fitness center and had continuous problems providing internet service. The hotel is located facing the beach and provides great veiws of the Indian ocean. There were several merchants with a variety of traditional items selling their goods along side the main strip. The only problem I had with the location was the amount of beggars lining the streets presenting their hard luck stories.
