Clean, centrally located

Nice hotel. Secure/guarded. Starting to show a bit of wear/tear in spots, but well-maintained and clean. Close to Sandton City. Some desk staff were really lackluster; others were very helpful.

Excellent 5 star hotel in a great

Excellent 5 star hotel in a great location. Everything you would expect from this brand. Good size rooms, good food and facitlties, friendly service. Highly recommended for the price.

Safe and efficient

Only stayed one night. Buffet excellent and good location though a bit in from the airport and no shuttle pickup - take either bullet train or taxi - approx 350 Rand.

Shuttle to Nelson Mandela mall is unreliable - didn't arrive when we were told and we had to catch a taxi instead.

Sum attention to detail would

Sum attention to detail would help, for example: 2 light bulbs had burnt out in the room before we had even got there, public area toilets not always up to scratch, mixer taps in bathroom not working properly, cold and hard pancakes served in the cafe on the bottom floor, early morning knock on the door from the cleaners, slow internet Some good things: the rooms are very nice. Front desk reception staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Service calls were attended quickly. The building is very pleasant, light and airy, with nice views.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

Escorted tour of Joburg, Sowetto, museum, and suburbs was very nice in VAN picked up at hotel.
