Astoria Hotel Seoul

Hotel is quiet old, but everything is clean. Book two rooms, one is family room that comes with two double beds, this room is very spacious. Another room is a double room, and it's very small, just big enough to fit a double bed. No wi fi in the room, which is a very big disappointment. Location is very close to subway station, and a walking distance to Myeongdong.

I stayed here one night. I didn't like the smell of smoking but I couldn't move to another room. The drainage of this room was so bad. After shower and emptied a bathtub, bathroom was flooded with water through the drain. I couldn't get out of bathtub for a while. The location was so good. The cafe next front was also nice.

Great Hotel! Less than 5 mins walk from subway station and at least 100 resaurants within a 15 minute walk. Staff were friendly and spoke more English than we did Korean! We stayed 10 days and found the Country and the Hotel very tourist friendly.

Business Hotel Astoria is a 3star hotel very near Chungmuro Station. It is not in Airport Bus route but you can use 6015 which stop in front of Sejong Hotel. The hotel is basically basic but clean. The hotel personnels were friendly, giving us info and direction to sites. Facilities includes bidet,hair blower and hot shower. Location is very good very accessible to a family mart, the chungmuro station and if you are adventureous then you can walk all the way to Myeung-dong. There is a karaoke bar but it doesnt disturb us a bit. Overall this hotel is a treasure and i will definitely recommend it to my friends.

Hotel fit our needs perfectly and the price was wonderful. Near many of the attractions of Soeul,Staff was great.Attended to anything we needed and helped with tours and directions. Close to shopping and resturants.All within walking distance. Would stay here again.

Easy to get to from airport - take 6015 bus and get off at Myeong Dong (Sejong Hotel), look back in the direction you came from & the Astoria is about half a block away across the road. It's about a 5 minute walk, but crossing the main road is a little inconvenient. I think Chungmuro subway station is slightly closer than Meong Dong There is a bus stop just before Chungmuro subway entrance where you can catch number 2 bus to Seoul Tower. Myeong Dong markets are easily accessible (walk from hotel past Meong Dong station and turn right once you start to see some stalls). The hotel itself was basic, but perfectly adequate. We requested a non-smoking room, but ended up in a smoking room. But it had been well cleaned and the smell was not very noticable at all. My wife had the 1 included breakfast which was quite good, but she thought the egg whites were still a little bit too runny on her fried egg. I would recommend it as good value for money.

Good hotel, good rooms - plenty of space. English speaking staff We got to it on the limosine bus from the airport and it was a 5min walk - once we got the direction right. Fortunately everyone seems to want to help and practice their English too ( take a google print out to point to and it is on the main road). Its close to the Metro and 5 mins walk from the Korean Village sight-seeing spot. Difficult to find fault!

Good location for Meang Dong Shopping Center and subway station 5 Mins to Airport Bus but you have to cross the street to Sejong Hotel , not quite convinient with the large luggage. The service is great !!!

The price for the room I booked was very worth it. Spacious and clean. Service was attentive. 1st day I was given 2 towels but the 2nd day, the housekeeping notice there were 3 persons, and gave us 3 towels without asking. Any request was fast attended too. Location is very central and convenient. MRT is just 3 minutes walk. I will definitely recommend the hotel and book this hotel again when I go to Seoul again. :)

Business Hotel Astoria is very close to the Myeongdong area, however, it is not easy to find as it is not a regular large hotel. Luckily, we asked the train station master for directions and he lead us on our journey. Take the line 4 to Myedong station to get to this hotel and exit number 10. The staff are friendly and their English is generally good. The rooms can be a bit stuffy as aircon is central and you may need to open the window which does let the outside noise of traffic filter through. So it is a catch 22. When it gets colder, you wont need to open the window. Generally a god price for what you get and the proximity is fine.
