Better the second time ronud

The hotel has changed a bit from previous experience of it. This is a awkwardly located hotel tucked away in a congested hillside in a busy part of the Seoul City Center. It is difficult to walk to this hotel because of the steep hill it rests on. Here are some improvements I saw: 1. Breakfast meals was improved in quality. I enjoyed their breakfast before the changes, but this time I noticed they even had a fresh juice bar. I've been to ALL the quality hotels in Seoul, and this is the first time I've seen real fruit be transformed into juice right before my eyes. The Intercontinenal hotels also provide this but it's on and off. 2. Rooms are clean and provided all the essentials. 3. For turndown service, someone closed the window shades and fixed me a cup of green tea. Nice touch. 4. Clean bathrobes, and high quality bath room amenities and the room is decent sized without weird modern decor. Tasteful in all regard. 5. The staff has gotten friendlier, esp less snobby hostesses on the club floor. Helpful concierge and very helpful phone operators. The bad parts are these: 1. charges for internet, even as a club floor visitor, you must pay for internet in your room. 2. unlike other club floor benefits at other hotels, this hotel charges you for access to the sauna 3. the swimming pool is nice but small and the tiles are browned by lack of upkeep. There was brownish smut in the grout work. Small poorly kept swimming pool bathroom

convenient shopping location

No contrtol panel on air condition. For three nites we perspired even when opening window. It was horrible. All 8 of us who stayed there had suffered for the three nites we were there. Then during the evening the temperature went down to 30 degree and so we opened our window for cool air.

Enjoyable Stay!

Went there with my wife and 2-year old son to see Seoul. The hotel is in a great location although pushing the stroller going up the hill is not a happy experience. The coffee in the room barely has a taste unless of course I would like to use the 3 in 1 sachet which has a better taste - just a little disappointing knowing it's a five-star hotel in which I paid 220 USD in advance. The location is excellent as it is like 5 minutes walk to Nandaemun market and 5 minutes also going to Seoul station. The hotel lobby is great and business center too. The staffs are friendly as well. And I agree to some comments that some furnishings has to be updated as they are a bit old.

Outstanding

My husband and I stayed at the Millennium Seoul Hotel this summer and couldn't have been happier with the experience. The staff was extremely kind, attentive and professional. Our room was outstanding - spotlessly clean, comfortable and had a gorgeous view of the city. The hotel is also in an ideal location - it is right next to a large traditional Korean market with lots of great restaurants, and is a short (5 minute) walk from Seoul Station (a major Metro station). We would definitely stay at the Millennium Seoul Hotel again!
