Icaria Hotel Barcelona

Although this hotel is a fair distance from the centre of Barcelona - it is only a short walk to the beach. The room and bathroom were quite large and we had a view that looked over the pool and city. We could see the church on top of the mountain - great at night. However, it is a bit of walk from the nearest metro and there is not much around. Would be good if you had a bike or like walking a bit. Rooms were clean and the pool was a great place to relax. The gym equipment didnt really work though and our shower stopped working part way during out stay. However, when we told the staff they fixed it within 30 minutes so we were happy with the service there.

The Icaria hotel is located near beach and port olympic very good bus service to centre barcelona,hotel really nice bedrooms spacious staff also very good would stay here again

Excellent location, near to beach and Olympic port. Direct buses to Ramblas, Placa Catalunya, Segrada Familia and Park Guell stop just outside the door. Rooms towards street can get noisy. Everything nice and clean EXCEPT toilets in lobby and in fitness center. Would definitely return if visiting in summer.

This hotel is excellent and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and we will be returning again and this will be my third time there.

Nice Clean hotel.Had a meal there which was OK.Breakfast was standard fare. Hotel is close to pick up point for Hop on Hop off bus which was great and about a 10 minute stroll to the beach/marina where we has some really great Paella and Sangria.No bad odours which seems to permeate a lot of the city

Modern hotel and style. Excelent breakfast. Not far from the beach and bus stop close to the hotel.

Very good breakfast, a bit far from the Metro but we survived the walk. Hallway noise was too evident inside the rooms--thin doors. Exercise room was a joke for any serious workout. Nice room, would stay there again with earplugs. :)

As far as my own personal experience. I was on my honeymoon, and we flew into Barcelona and needed to check in a little earlier. We were met with a nice room on the second floor, it was modern, clean the only thing we didn't care for was the lightbulb on the snake lamps were broken, with the shards of glass still in them. Room service was nice, but quickly try to get you off the phone, that I asked for 2 bottle of waters and I got one bottle of water with two glasses. I asked for olives and bacon on my pizza and all I got was bacon.. The universal machine in the broken in the fitness room and the pool was unavailable to use that night since there was a party going all night. It was a nice hotel.. but I wasn't too thrilled by the service end of it.

We particularly asked a paecefull room by e-mail before our trip and we got an answer from the hotel that they shall do their best. The hotel was not fully booked, but even then we got a unsatisfactory room. We had a whole week a neighbour that woked us up every single night, sometimes a several times. She slams doors and walked with her high heal shoes on the parguest floor. in addtion the aircondition system was extremely noisy, it feels like the truck is ticking over inside our room. Also the bed has seen its best days. So, we tried to manage by using ear-pluggs, but not so good results. We definitely would not go even near to the Hotel Icaria-never!

je n'ai pas du tout aimé ou est place l'hotel par rapprot au centre ville a 20 min en bus les chambres sentais les egouts je vais souvent a Barcelone je ne retournerais pas cette hotel
