blue sea hotel
the location is brilliant, the staff works well with what they have. the bed spreads/throwover are not changed between each guest. the safe is 33 euro to use in the room. there is no iron in the room and we are charged to have our clothes ironed. the TV channels are all in spain, only able to watch CNN. we were also charged 33 euros to use the internet. there is no entertainment in the hotel apart from friday night. despite having a lovely area for this. no information is given to you on the day of arrival, about the hotel or the surrounding activities. the location is perfect and it is just 1.65euro on the train from and to the airport. i would stay at the hotel again but next time i will take my own entertainment, and bed covers. the food wasn't too bad, but there are a lot of restaurant near by.

HMMMM...
Great location if you want to shop but bad location if you want to go to the beach. It looks like it's on the beach but you have a stiff walk to it and it kills. As far as staff goes, they were pretty rude, ignoring you at the desk, and not very helpful if you ask questions. I would and would not recommend to a friend depending on what they're looking for.

Great Low Season Rate - So-so **** Hotel
At around $50/night, this typical Costa del Sol 'luxury' property is an off-season steal: centrally located, spacious rooms, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast. But it's an old hotel, and the recent facelift was done with no apparent attention to detail, and clean is an approximation at best. It suited my purposes perfectly, but someone looking for a few nights swaddled in modern luxury would be sorely disappointed.

Short walk from hotel
The hotel charges an outrageous surcharge for internet. Fortunately, there's free wifi a couple of blocks down las Mercedes at the Belgian beer bar, and you can sample your favorite brewed beverages while you catch up on your email.

Not four star
My stay at the hotel wasn't so great. It definetely wasn't four star, it needs to work on a few things. When my family and I first arrived to the hotel, the staff greeted us coldly. They weren't that friendly, it was as if they didn't care. When we got to our room it was nicely kept, clean and comfortable no problem there. But everytime we wanted to go to the pool, they never had any towels. Im talking about a week with no towels. Then if we wanted anything from the hotel, they would charge us for everything. My package wasn't all inclusive but I've heard a lot of complaints about the hotel food. So I suggest, you'd be better off eating outside than in the hotel, you will save a lot of money. The hotel itself was located in a good place though,a good distance to stores, beaches and train. We've been to better hotels. Overall, the hotel definetly needs some improvement on those things I listed above.

Short walk from hotel
The restaurants in Torremolinos are good. You are better off eating outside than in the hotel. There are a lot of different varieties of food you could eat. There is chinese, italian, spanish, and argentian food. I suggests you go to a restaurant name Ciao its an italian restaurant located in Torremolinos (calle invisible) The food is delicious! A lot you can choose from and you will definetely be satisfied.

Great deal
This was a great hotel for the value. The half board was awesome. Great food for breakfast and dinner. Torremolinos is an okay location but you do have to take a bus or a train to get into Malaga. The beds were very uncomfortable and horrible pillows but the room was a good size. The bathroom was tiny and the hotel has actual wood doors to the room so you would hear those slamming ALL night long!

Take the train from the airport to this hotel. It is a short walk from the train to this hotel and you only pay 3 euros vs. 20 euros for a taxi from the airport to the hotel!

Recent Experience at Hotel Cervantes
Good clean hotel with friendly staff and a great breakfast buffet which was included in the rate. Located next to the La Nogalera shopping district with lots of good restaurants, shops and bars. Would have prefered to stay directly on the beach, however, since I found the city of Torremolinos to be tacky. To reach the beach, you need to take a public elevator which costs 50 cents each way or walk down a long flight of stairs. Other hotel comments: two nice pools, one on ground floor and one rooftop, but they could be crowded with lots of kids. Great breakfast buffet was also crowded, and there could be a long wait for the elevators. Hotel was kept very clean.

There is a travel agency located in back of the hotel where you can arrange bus tours. I took a day trip to Ronda and a day trip to Granada including the Alhambra. Both trips were great. Other tours were available.

Malaga Spain
We had a beautiful few of the Mediterranean Sea. It was a long walk to the beach, (could be a hike down all the stairs). But there is a lift for 50 Euro cents to take you down to the beach, then it is just a couple of blocks from there. If you choose to take the stairs however, there are lots of them. We traveled around Malaga, and Granada, Spain and took a ferry to Tangers, Morocco. Wow! What an experience! We loved it.

Great location near the train station.
This hotel is in a great location for anyone getting the train from Malaga airport, just get off the train at Torremolinos and it's on your left about 200 metres. The hotel is a about 750 metres from the beach but that distance involves going down many many steps of you can take an elevator there for 50 cents each way. Only bad things about the hotel were no English speaking TV channels, there was no alarm clock in the room and elevators were a little slow at peak times neither really bothered me. Staff were efficient in cleaning the rooms and check in was quick and friendly. Hotel was super value and I would recommend it for anyone seaking a quite break in the sun.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
Leave the hotel and turn right to find numerous family run restaurants. Right across the street a huge and popular tapas/restaurant/bar that is open for lunch and then again for dinner.
