Prestige (indeed) Palmera Plaza

We went in low season and the hotel was very quiet so we can't really comment on the full services offered, however we can say that it is a very very good VFM hotel in an ideal location for the Equestrian Centre and Sandeman's Bodega (Sherry House). We booked a junior suite (they only have 4) and we were given a standard room and although the standard room was very spacious by hotel room standards in Europe it wasn't what we ordered so we went back to recepotion to sort it out. The lady on reception took full responsibility for the error - and it was not her who made in the first place it was a colleague- and we were then given room 404, the best in the building. It's a 1 bed junior suite with a large living area leading onto an enormous sun terrace, probably 20m by 20m on top of the building with an outside shower, table and chairs and sun loungers just for your room. The view is not spectacular, in fact the low level roof tops in the vicinity are pretty dingy but that's not what we were there for personally.back inside, there is a very spacious bedroom with 2 single beds making up a large double. This is not as bad as it may seem as both beds could be operated individually with full automated positioning facilities for both back and head and legs - brilliant. Off the bedroom is a separate small dressing area that only has one fault - no mirror in there. next to the dressing area was the bathroom approx 5m by 5m with his and hers sinks, toilet and bidet, jacuzzi bath and separate shower, excellent for those of us who like to have a leisurely time getting ready to go out. Can't comment about the food as we were only there one night and we went out to eat, an absolutely amazing little restaurant called Sabores down a back street, the waiter there - [...]- is so attentive, knows his stuff and speaks very good English indeed. We only live an hour from Jerez and would most definitely return t the hotel, perhaps in mid or high season to experience the hotel in full swing.
