This completely refurbished resort offers new spacious apartments located in low white buildings, which are typical on the island of Lanzarote. This island is known for its concern to conserve its natural resources especially its volcanic origins. The Lanzarote Bay is only 5 minutes from the beach and offers a variety of sports facilities including tennis and paddle courts. The all-inclusive plan offered provides excellent service and quality. The Lanzarote Bay Aparthotel has a large pool with a separate area for children and a completely new spa offering Jacuzzi, sauna, massage and more. The low buildings offer a sensation of space and well being with a large area for sun beds and ample scope for relaxation. If one wants a bit more action then the hotel offers facilities for football, basketball, tennis and squash. The local area of Costa Teguise also provides many opportunities for water sports especially windsurfing, kite surfing, and sailing, cycling and diving. The apartments are also situated close to the only golf course found on the island. An excursion to the national park of Timanfaya, with its volcanic lunar landscape, shows why this island is so special. As well as being ideal for couples and families, the apartments are also becoming popular with sports clubs due to the excellent facilities found on-site. The hotel also offer Bar, Billiards, Doctor on call, Gym / Fitness facilities, Reception, Restaurant, Spa Services (Massage, Facial, Steam Room, etc.), Solarium, Swimming pool-outdoor and Tennis court.

More like a creche!

Described as a family hotel but more like a very kid-friendly hotel, especially below school-age kids. We went outside of main half-term but still suffered screaming kids around and in the pools, running around the echo-chamber reception area, and generally kicking off in the dining room - parents didn't seem to care (bless 'em!). Perhaps I'm too old in the tooth, but I still believe that 'children should be seen and not heard!' Also, pigeons were constantly picking from food covered serving spoons at the outside 'bland' buffet, despite everything being cold and soggy.Either shoot the birds or install chain/net screens around the food area.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

For a haven of tranquility, try sitting outside or on the upstairs veranda of the Orient Express snack bar/restaurant in the old original Costa Teguise market place(Plaza Del Pueblo Marinero)in the afternoon between midday and 7 pm.. The drinks are really cheap and it even has free wifi!

Stayed here in November 2009 and

Stayed here in November 2009 and loved it so much we returned in March 2010. Check-in was quick and easy. The apartments are spacious and spotless. The food was great with plenty of choice. I am told the pool is freezing though! Not suitable for 'party animals'. But definitely suited to couples and families. I would highly recommend Lanzarote Bay Apartments. Also, the weather was fabulous so all in all we had a brilliant time!
