Hotels in Chueca, Madrid

The hotel has a fantastic location. Everything in central Madrid is within 15 - 20 minutes walk at most. The staff is very friendly, gentle and helpful. The rooms are small but very clean and tidy. The bathroom has lots of hot water and is spotless.

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Madrid. Hotel is good and people in reception are very nice and helpful. We would again stay at this hotel but if hotel management takes into consideration the only disadvantage of this hotel-terrible inflexible bed. Beds are really unconfortable, particularly the mattress which is like a wood. This is the real disadvantage to spend night but with the rest we are very much satisfied.

Affordable Hotel in the middle of everything, walking distance to all attractions.

Not really a full 4 Star but don't let that stop you... Excellent staff and top notch location. Central to almost everything....

Comfortable, clean, conveniently located, and super helpful staff.

I stayed three nights at the hotel just recently (March 2012) in a deluxe room with a street view and found everything to be really nice at a great price. The hotel itself is lovely and charming and located close to everything in Central Madrid. It is located in the Cheuca District and is on a quite street. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was spotless. I found the bed to be firm and very comfortable. For the price it was really very nice.

The hotel staff are professional and the room was decent, albeit a bit small. That isn't much of an issue for me, but something others should be aware of. It is located on a somewhat hidden side street and was very difficult to find.

The hotel is located on a street that is a couple blocks down from the main road which is Gran Via. The location is great because it is so close to the main street but at the same time, far away enough so that the noise from Gran Via will not keep you up at night. Madrid is a very walkable city, so this hotel is well situated. The rooms are small and modest, but very clean. When I travel, the hotel room is only for sleeping, so I didn't mind the size of the room at all. The hotel staff speak English and can give you guidance and directions. I took a guided tour to Toledo through the hotel, which I usually never do. But logistically it was easier than arranging the travel myself since I had a limited amount of time. The tour itself was just okay, because the guide, who spoke both Spanish and English, seemed to give expansive Spanish explanations and descriptions, but when it came time to translate in English, i got an extremely abbreviated version! The hotel is good value. Lastly, you get free wireless which is not a given in Madrid. The room also has a small safe to store valuables; you have to pay 1 euro to use it each time.

The staff were very accommodating, and anything I needed [which was not much] was gladly managed. The breakfast provided was basic, but also was sufficient enough to be able to take with and sustain me for well into the afternoon. And the room, itself, felt safe and secure, with the one issue being the noise - not so much from the outside, but you could hear everything the other guests were doing. Fortunately, as a frequent traveler, I always have earplugs and melatonin in my luggage. I wanted to also emphasize that the staff was very pleasant and kind to deal with. I emphasize this because I noticed on Trip Adviser that they were excoriated as being rude and unprofessional; nothing could be further from the truth. I have to wonder if those travelers may have been up to something untoward and other customers complained, requiring a reprimand. My experience was nothing like that. They were great!

Very central for Nightlife. Basic but clean. No lift - 3rd floor. Central court (quiet) room possible.

je trouve dommage le manque d'information sur les différentes prestations de l'hôtel (horaires, ouverture, les différents étages....) il serait bien de rajouter des peignoirs et des chaussons dans chaque chambre.

The Room Mate Oscar hotel is in a great location. The room was larger than expected (for a European hotel). The hotel was a little pretentious, but that is just a slight complaint. The free breakfast (until noon) and wireless internet was very nice. The hotel is close to shopping, bars, and restaurants. I would totally recommend this hotel for someone seeking some peace, quite, and relaxation during their trip to Madrid.

Decent accommodations for the money, located right near the La Latina district for easy access to tapas. Also located close to Metro (subway) access. The downs - the bed was horrible. Was sunk in the middle so badly my girlfriend and I were forced to sleep against each other simply due to gravity, also gave us sore backs. Plumbing is very noisy - when anyone in any adjacent room uses it, you definitely know. Other than the bed, I would stay again.
