Great space , great location
This is a great apartment hotel on the great Grand Via of Madrid. The hotel has great insulation from exterior and interior noise. The rooms are spacious. The tv has some English language channels. Internet access is not included in the price but it is available for a charge. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. Rooms have safe. The refrigerator and two burner kitchen are adequate for light meals.

Two College Students in Madrid
had an easy time finding the hotel-- it's very centrally located and a nice walk to Sol, etc. The rooms are really nice with air conditioning and a kitchenette, which worked out great for us. My only complaints are that you have to pay for internet (3 euros/hour, 8 euros/24 hours, 24 euros/3 days). After we purchased an hour of internet, though, they were very helpful and printed our boarding passes for us from the front counter.

Highly recommend the place. Large pleasant rooms. There is a small kitchen if somebody wants to warm up something or make tea. Place is clean.

We were very happy with the pirce-considering the Champions League Final was on and the hotel being in a central location. Clean rooms, spacious and staff very helpful, kept our luggage until the following day after the match and after checking out. No complaints

Loved the bath/Hated the bed
Loved the nice big bathroom but hated the bed mattress, they need to change them! A coffee-maker in the room would be nice eventhough breakfast @ 6.50 euro was reasonable. Good location close to the metro but hard to walk all the stairs with too many or heavy luggage...

Cosy hotel in the heart of Madrid
The Espahotel Gran Via was even better than we have expected. We have paid only 65 USD per night, that was week-nights. The service was good. Room was very spacious, in fact we have had a huge bathroom and quite large living space as well as nice kitchen area. Our windows faced some side street away from the Gran Via noise. The location is superb. Just on the main artery of Madrid - Gran Via, and some metres away from the metro station (and metro service in Madrid is very reliable). In other words, the price is right and location and conditions of stay were great in our case.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
Lots of shopping on Gran Via itself, but also on major streets leading from Gran Via towards Sol, as well as on Princesa street, which is across the Plaza Espana.

Fazit: Wir waren sehr zufrieden! Danke!
