Told on arrival that I did not have a booking and no record of me etc. Room smell very strongly og some kind of chemical possibly carpet cleaning or solvent difficult to get rid of smell. Porblem each day at breakfast because I did not have breakfast included although happy to pay. On final day at breakfast head waiter extremely rude about this subject, very reluctant to allow me in for breakfast, brought me bill when I was only a few minutes into first course.

Holiday Inn Madrid has an excellent location. A block away you will find El Corte de Ingles, a huge department store which acts as a Mall with high end department stores i.e. Louis Vitton, Chanel, Prada. Also has a gourmet store, grocery store, bookstore and basement bargains! Loved the location, easy access to the bus and metro stops. The hotel itself has a friendly staff, restaurant and internet services are available. Would stay there again! (Starbucks in front with free WiFi!)

Convenient location
Convenient location near the Bernabeu stadium and metro station. We had a rental car and had to find parking on the street, which is not easy to find. There is no charge to park on the street from Friday evening to Monday morning. Our only snafu was that we had called and personally requested a non-smoking room and they still gave us a smoking room. The hotel was full and we had to wait several hours for a non-smoking room to become available.

Best Location!
Although I stayed only for a day, this hotel was really nice. Staffs can speak fluent English. It was located near subway station so I can rest while having sight seeing. Also I saw football game which was finished 12 midnight but I was able to go back to hotel fast and safe. Its location is really convenient!

friendly staff
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was great and most spoke English. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Everything seems new and clean. The location was perfect for our needs, but is not in the city center. There is a Metro stop on the block. We will definitely stay there again.
