Convenient
It's convencion hotel as the name clearly states. Expect a lot of traffic, but the hotel is conveniently (walking distance) located to most touristy places. Staff friendly and helpful. Shuttle bus to/from the airport less then 5 mins walk. enjoyed, will book to stay there again

A nice hotel to be
Nice facilites, nice location...more importantly, nice people. I found there are many staffs are more than 50 or 55Y, but very nice manner, though sometime we understand they may react slightly slow, but that's reasonable and just a smile will show they are willing to help.

Old but clean, cheap but fee happy
nice staff, clean hotel. metro is near by. gave free maps of the city and metro. WiFi is NOT free, you have to pay 1 Euro for every 10 minute block of internet. No ironing board, paid 7 euros to have a shirt ironed. Walking distance to some action.

Very convenient location
I was on a business trip in Madrid. The hotel is very well connected through metro with the main train station and airport. It is within walking distance to many administrative buildings. The location was great. It is not a brand new hotel, but it was clean and the attention of the staff was also very good.

Good for the price...
If your not worried about having a luxurious room and won't be spending much time in your hotel anyway, this is the place for you. The rooms are a little on the small side and the beds are somewhat stiff. The hotel is old fashioned but does have Wi-fi and a business center. Staff was nice and helpful. Location was good, about a 20 min walk downtown or a 5 min cab ride. Overall, if your spending a few days days in Madrid, check this hotel out. It won't burn a hole in your pocket.

Madrid under 100
Although with a window that offer close to zero natural light, the room is comfortable. The hotel is very well located (two blocks from subway, line 6 and six blocks from line 2, the one that connects directly to Sol). Internet is not free, you can have access to wifi after a fee close to the one charge in many american hotels. There is an internet place one block away in case you don't need constant access.

Good location for metro and can
Good location for metro and can walk to city centre in about 20 minutes. Beautiful Parco Retiro nearby for relaxing, an amazing rose garden. Very good sized rooms with space to move around. Huge entrance and lobby. A very busy hotel so sometimes have a line-up at the reservation desk. Have used this hotel 3 times over several years.

Good and Bad
Hotel located comfortably to everything. Madrid Metro system is fantastic; also, very disabled-person equipped: escalator or elevator at every station. Took Metro from airport to hotel. Hotel service people not very friendly, but that seems to be all over Madrid, with couple of exceptions. Had to call for towels and soap, but the room was very clean and the price was right. Had to pay BIG for Internet and then two hours after connection the whole floor's connection went out and had to ask for a refund.

Good price-value full service hotel
Conveniently located close to the subway and a wonderful park makes for a good business hotel. It feels like a hotel built in the 70s and not renovated since, although it must have been a top-notch place back then. Therefore it looks a little "tired", but everything works (including internet), the staff is helpful, the rooms are quiet and clean and the beds are comfortable. I had a room looking onto a tiny "light shaft", which did not make for a nice view but ensured quietness.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Can't remember the name of the place, but there is an excellent "Cerveceria" on the corner of Calle de O'Donnell and Calle de Maiquez, easily recognizable by all the legs of "Jamon Serrano" hanging in the window. Good for a sandwich or a whole meal if you like local food.
