unfair policy
My wife and I did not stay at the Tryp in Madrid we were forced to amend our travel arrangements by one day,and therefore needed to change our booking from the 12th to the 11th. In spite of giving several weeks notice the hotel refused to alter the reservation under any circumstances. Needless to say we will not be booking into that hotel ever again,and have advised all our friends to do the same. The hotel we did stay at was the Ibis in Barajas and thy were helpful and polite (and cheaper)than the Tryp. They also stated that should we require to alter our booking we could do so with 24 hours notice at no extra cost.

15 minutes to the Terminal at the airport and probably a 15 minute wait for the shuttle, so it was very convenient to Bajaras
