CITY BREAK

Family room for four adults was great value. close to Metro and within walking distance of most attractions. Staff very helpful. Very clean room with good shower and towels. Did not use buffet breakfast - lots of alternatives close by. (suggest Vitamina for breakfast). Would recommend

Great location for few days

Staying in Madrid for 2 or 3 days? No doubt this is the hotel where you should stay. Walking distance to everything you want to do in Madrid. Rooms are a little small, though very functional. Good prices.

Although hard to find (entrance is off-street in an alley), this hotel is perfectly located in the center of Madrid. We walked everywhere to include restaurants, train stations, shops, shows and activities. The hotel offers an excellent buffet breakfast for 14 Euros (7 Euros if you're a Mas program member). The multilingual staff are very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to assist us. Only negative comment would be the never-ending traffic nosie and the endless police and ambulance sirens. Room was spotless and large.. We would definitely stay here again.

Madrid is huge and the streets are jam-packed with people. Protect your wallet or purse at all times. Madrid is very expensive for meals with few bargains to be found. Shop at local markets if possible. Lastly, English is NOT widely spoken in Spain as we discovered to our dismay, having travelled throughout other European countries where English is taught at an early age. Be prepared to speak Spanish or have a phrase guide handy.

Very clean

At first I wondered because it was down an alley and the registration was on the second floor so you have to take the elevator to it but the hotel was very clean, nice new or remodeled rooms and friendly service only not quite good in English, Grand Via is busy all night so there is noise we had an inside room no view but no noise either our room was large and confortable, walking to lots of restaurants, plazas, metro, a 30 minute walk takes you to most museums or palace. I would stay there again..

good deal

the place is clean, conveniently located..although it was a bit difficult to find when we arrived at 1 am in the morning (it is not on the main street but in an alley)....staff is gentle, helpful. Bathroom was wonderful, and the room had 4 beds!! (we were 2 people). ... Metro station was 1 block away!....
