Vincci Centrum

we have spent one week in a junior suite... really small room, poor bathtub, sliding glass door for the toilet (no privacy at all), horrible wi-fi connection (the weakest signal on earth). We have ordered a bottle of "champagne" for our arrival... it was delivered 4 hours later. The good thing was the big balcony and the location, really close to everything.

The front desk was very efficient and friendly. We reached Madrid on the same day they had a major demonstration. The staff was forth coming and helpful. The room was furnished in classic modern style. It was a bit dark but very good value for money. We were close to every thing. Will stay there again

We booked 2 rooms (for 4 adults) and reseption told there is only 1 room. We had a voucher for 2 rooms but they could not confirm that. Fortunately we got 2 rooms and did not have to pay another room again.

Location location location

The staff at the hotel was very nice, the room was small but clean. My husband felt the room was too dark without a window which did not allow one to distinguish night from day.

i don't care how nice or modern your hotel is, how friendly your staff, or how great the location, if you don't have wifi, that's no good. if your network kicks off all Apple machines, shame on you. better log quick before i get booted again..

The hotel was clean and quiet, with a great desk staff. The small restaurant offered nice tapas and cocktails, as well as breakfast. The desk clerks spoke English and made good recommendations for dining out. For a hotel of this quality and location, the price was extremely fair. Located only two blocks from the Puerto Del Sol, and 4 blocks from the Plaza Mayor, you couldn't ask for a better location.

Nice hotel in great location close to everything. I recomend this to anyone checking out Madrid. Clean and got good rates here on Orbitz

The air conditioner was powerful enough to cool a small closet, but not the whole room. It couldn't compensate for the heat put out by the halogen lamps in the room. The chain makes a big deal about its energy saving measures--this wasn't one I'm a fan of. Speaking of fans, we certainly could have used one. Do not stay here in hot weather. With better A/C, I'd double the star rating from 2 to 4. The location is great, and the staff was helpful. The other strike against the hotel is that the modern decor looks good (unless you look closely), but sometimes at the sacrifice of functionality--the designer should be shot. The cabinet partially blocks the tv; it's difficult to use the sink without getting the counter all wet; the bathroom lighting is ill-suited for shaving or applying make-up; the stairway lights are held onto their brackets with cable ties. Compared to other hotels of similar decor, this one's won't wear very well.

Vincci was in a great location at the center of the museum district. We enjoyed the food there which was very mediteranean. I highly recommend this hotel for the price. Be aware that the beds are hard and the outside is noisy at night since the city never sleeps.
