Nice hotel although the a/c did

Catalonia Majorica hotel is located in a privileged area on the maritime promenade of Palma Bay and just in front of Club del Mar. It is near the Porto Pi shopping centre and it offers direct access to the Avenida Joan Miro through a new and original Funicular. The hotel, refurbished in 2000, combines an elegant style with modern features. It has a total of 168 rooms, all of them with beautiful views and most of them also have a terrace. In the hotel you will find three swimming pools(outdoor pool, children's pool and heated indoor pool), Jacuzzi, gym, solarium, coffee bar, three meeting rooms and a restaurant with splendid views of the bay and harbor. Inside the hotel is the Majorica Center; this is a new, modern convention centre which opened in 2006, which contains various spaces for all types of event and which is ideal for holding conventions and meetings. The rooms and spaces of the Majorica Center are noted both for being multi-use and for their natural light, as well as for being able to hold up to 300 people

Reasonable accomodations

My first time in Palma, so I was just killing a weekend. The hotel is up a hill, so it's not the best location for a pedestrian tourist. The room was clean, had a terrace, and free wireless. The mattress was a bit stiff for my taste. 20 Euro cab to/from airport. Overall this hotel was a very good value.

Moderate hotel on Mallorca

The food was good, the staff was accomodating, the location was OK. Fairly steep hill to get to the waterfront, but manageable. Room was clean and spartan. Ask for a room with sea view if possible.

The Hotel was perfect for us except the fact that the gym was under renovation and closed.

Nice View, but a walk

Great view of the city, but a sketchyish walk to get to the major bars and clubs.
