It is situated in the historic heart of Santiago de Compostela, 150 meters away from the Cathedral.This XVIII century building was named Site of cultural interest (BIC) by UNESCO and it reopened since 2005 after being reformed.It perfectly combines original architectural elements with up to date shapes and materials. Always keeping the original Franciscan style, the hotel offers all the facilities to enjoy of a very pleasant stay with an atmosphere that transmits tranquillity and calm.

Excellent and reasonably priced hotel

The Hotel Santiago de Compostella was centrally located-- an easy walk from the famous Cathedral. While the outside of the building is historical, the interior is quite modern and done with great taste-- not chilly and characterless like many modern hotels. The room was attractive and comfortable, as was the bathroom. The front desk staff had excellent command of the English language, which was helpful since our Spanish is limited to the most basic. There were many restaurants, bars and cafes within easy walking distance from the hotel, shops too. Despite chilly rain throughout our brief visit, we found Santiago de Compostella charming and well worth visiting. The hotel enhanced this impression. WIFI was free and available in our room once we obtained the password from the front desk.

Its is new building from April 1999. It has 30 attractive rooms, hairdryer heating, safe, minibar, musical thread, television and direct phone.The Hotel Husa Cuidad de Compostela also has garage, coffee meeting room, and sitting room and fax and photocopy facility. Wifi free of charge.

The staffs in the hotel were very nice and helpful. The hotel has free wifi. The room of the hotel is a little small and the wall is not so sound proof.
Generally, I enjoy the stay.

A pesar de ser un hotel nuevo de tres estrellas de una cadena nacional, las habitaciones no tienen aire acondicionado. En verano es un gran inconveniente, ya que hay que tener abierta la ventana y soportar el ruido del intenso tráfico de la avenida de Lugo. Además, las paredes son de papel y se escuchan ronquidos y discusiones de otras habitaciones como si estuvieran en nuestra propia cama.
Por otra parte, parece que hay que ser de derechas para alojarse en este hotel, ya que ponen a disposición de los clientes multitud de ejemplares de "Abc", "La razón" y "El Mundo", pero en una semana no vi uno solo de "El País" o "Público".
A pesar de estar relativamente bien situado, ser un edificio nuevo y tener un personal muy amable, no es recomendable para los que valoren el silencio para dormir. No lo tendrán.

This hotel was lovely in all ways. The design is an incredibly interesting mix of the old and very modern. The rooms are lovely. The gym was also excellent, though too hot. Staff were helpful.

Decent hotel in quiet location 5 minute walk into the centre. Pleasant gardens but outside space set up for drinks is in the car park. Poor design does not help this hotel exploit its potential.

this is a typical 50s type of hotel. Staff is nice but overworked and don't have much time to spend with individual guests when checking in and/or out. They are so busy that they really don't know if website they have agreement with offered breakfast and/or wi-fi. Although they resolved that confusion after we checked in it is obvious that they are in chaos. Mostly because they are very cheap (to other customers) the place is so busy that one can not believe that all these people are actually paying for this lousy service and accommodation. We are talking of over 100 US$?!!!

Found Reception lady on arrival very friendly and helpful in explaining what to see and do in Santiago. Lack of coffee making facilities in bedroom was a let down. Dont understand the rating on facilities, what facilities did the hotel offer?? Location in the shopping complex was good and bus connections good.

The hotel Husa Santiago Apostol *** , totally remodelled in November, 2010, is located a few minutes of the Historical Old Town, what is connected with a public bus in the hotel Door.
The airport is easily accesible in just minutes and also the toll road, which is comunicated with anywhere in Galicia.
All the rooms are luminous and spacious, include WIFI free, air conditioning, minibar, television flat screen , hairdryer and room-service
Lounges are availables from 10 to 250 people.
Our restaurant is with a traditional Galician cuisine style , and it has a spectacular views of the city and the towers of the cathedral.
The hotel is near the Congress Palace and Monte do Gozo.
Parking Outdoor Free.

Das Frühstück kann separat vor Ort gebucht werden. In 2009 beträgt der Preis 9 Euro - das ist ok. Wenn man aber gegen 8.15 Uhr am Buffet erscheint und eine Reisegesellschaft bereits vorher das Buffet weitgehend geleert hat, dann ist dieser Preis nicht mehr ok.

Hotel situé au 6eme étage d'un immeuble, à 5 minutes de la gare et à une dizaine de minutes de la cathédrale à pied,un peu cher à 54 euros sans petit déjeuner,ni minibar, ni clim(mais ici ce serait plutot le chauffage qui serait nécessaire), mais c'est l'Espagne.Propre, fonctionnel, mais sans plus.Point for, la proximité de la gare ferroviaire et descommerces bon marchés;

Description
Building from 1753, restored in 2004. It is a cosy hotel with charm that disposes of 15 fully equipped rooms. Outstanding, among its facilities, the social lounge and the restaurant that offers high quality cuisine. Surrounded by Santo Domingo de Bonaval and Belvis parks, both of them created by well known architects.

si bien no esta en el centro, sino a 15 minutos a pie, se encuentra al lado del Corte Inglés, son un supermercado muy bueno. Además pasa una linea de bus para llegar al centro. El desayuno es pago, pero tiene una cafetería a la carta muy buena. Lo recomiendo.

Buon hotel vicino al centro storico (ma non nel centro storico).
E' disponibile un "open coffee" nel pomeriggio, dove è possibile avere a portata di mano sempre qualcosa da mangiare come merenda.
Se si ha l'auto, è necessario utilizzare dei parcheggi vicinoi, ma a pagamento (14,00 Euro al giorno).

Es muy ruidoso, no hay ningun respeto a la gente que llega de madrugada. Las de la limpieza no respetan el cartel de no molestar e intentan abrir la puerta. El baño no muy limpio, habia pelos y toallas minusculas. El trato de recepcion muy amable, hicieron lo posible porque todo fuera bien, aas instalaciones mas que correctas, podrian poner almohadas individuales mas comodas, las grandes antigüas e incómodas. Ubicado en un bonito sitio. precio muy ajustado. pero sobretodo la amabilidad y educacion en recepción, mejor que en el melia de 5 estrellas que fuí otra vez.

It is not adapted for handicapped people. This charming establishment is located just 300 metres away from the unique cathedral in the centre of the old quarter of Santiago de Compostela. It is surrounded by shops, restaurants and traditional bars. Just next door is Rua do Franco the most typical street for tapas and drinks.

Description
The Parador is located in Santiago's old quarter, in Plaza del Obradorio where some of the most outstanding monuments of the city can also be found. 1208AB The hotel is housed in a monumental medieval building and was constructed in 1499 by the catholic monarchs as a royal hospital. It is today thought to be the oldest hotel in the world. This magnificent hotel is located in the best part of Santiago, in the Plaza del Obradoiro, in between Santiago's splendid cathedral and the Galician President's headquarters. It is considered to be the best in Spain.
