- Only a stone's throw away from the Hotel Becquer are such well-known sights as the Cathedral and its Giralda bell tower, the Reales Alcazares palace and gardens, the Santa Cruz quarter and the Maestranza bullring. The river Guadalquivir is ever-present on any trip to the district of Triana, an area that distils the very essence of Seville. Further upstream, the river will lead us to the futuristic and innovate Isla de la Cartuja business and Technology Park. Sevilla has much more than its rich heritage to offer its visitors. Near to the Hotel Becquer is the Isla Mgica theme park, the ideal place to enjoy a fun day out and only a few kilometers away is Italica, an archaeological site whose remains evoke the glory of ancient Rome.

Beautiful hotel in great location!
This hotel has a nostalgic feel with modern conveniences. Our room was spacious - our three twin beds (wider than standard twins) fit comfortably in the room. Our fifth floor room was square shaped, with a small patio overlooking the street. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the room was! Our beds were comfortable (an extra pillow was provided in the closet) and the three of us slept well. I especially liked the hot water pitcher provided along with coffee and tea. The "pants press" was also a good feature. The front desk staff didn't speak much English, but we got along fine in communicating with them, though we speak some Spanish. We only stayed one night and did not eat at the hotel restaurant or use the spa. We were able to store our luggage after checkout, in a secure location, while we continued our experience in Seville. Of the other hotels we stayed at in Madrid and Granada, this hotel offered the best amenities, i.e. toothbrushes, razor, kit with sewing supplies, etc. My only complaint was that the water in the shower varied at times between hot and cold and had to be adjusted several times.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
We were able to walk to all the attractions we saw in Seville - the Bullfighting ring, the Cathedral, and the Palace. All were only about a 15-20 minute (or less) walk from the hotel.

Comfort and convenience are the watchwords.
Convenient situation for arrival by taxi or car, being on a main one-way thoroughfare, with some hotel parking available. Main sights within easy walking distance. Rooms comfortable, clean and quiet with recently installed en suite facilities. Restaurant only available for excellent breakfasts (March/April) and bar not open but cheerful little cafe belonging to the hotel, adjacent to the entrance, provided snacks and drinks. Staff on Reception helpful and friendly, some with good command of English. Tariff very reasonable.

Holy week I seville
Hotel was well placed within the city centre and was good quality. For the money it was ideal, although the breakfast was fairly expensive at 12E for what you get. I was extremely dissapointed with this website to find that our travelling collegues, who booked through another website got better rooms, cheaper and with breakfast included!!

Very nice hotel, . Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable, upscale. The Wi-Fi was a little bit slow but I was not in Seville to surf the net. What a great city, I want to return.

Long walk from hotel
Put the Arabian Bath/Spa on your Must Do list. I recomend taking a cab to it and walking back since you'll never find it walking to it.

Ideal city location
Location could not have been better to match the points of interest to us - especially the fine arts museum within 200 metres. We did not eat in the hotel as the prices were quite high -18E for breakfast and around 35E for dinner- much cheaper and sufficient bars and restaurants quite close. Dis-appointed that the rooftop solarium and pool was being renovated - opening 1 April

Convenient and Clean
Loved my four nights at Hotel Bequer. The hotel is clean and pleasant. Staff helpful. Room wonderful. Quiet. We didn't hear any noise from the street or other rooms. Could walk everywhere. To Triana. To El Centro. Would recommend without hesitation.

Perfect place to stay in Seville
The staff was superb. We spent 10 nights there and got to know the staff fairly well. They were extremely helpful. The location is perfect to walk anywhere you want to go. The attached Tapas bar is one of the best in the city. The Becquer Spa was also outstanding and an excellent value.

Great trip to Sevilla
My daughter, who is an exchange student studying in Sevilla, recommended this hotel. It was exactly as she described, small but comfortable rooms, extremely clean, helpful acommodating staff, a GREAT location, and tremendous value for the money. I would no doubt stay there again when headed back to Sevilla.

Entertainment tip:
Long walk from hotel
If you are going to see Flamenco in Sevilla skip the large touristy tablaos and check out Casa de la Memoria de Al-Andalus. Highest quality flamenco in a more intimate, authentic setting. Not to be missed.
