Had a wonderful experience at Hotel Riddargatan in Stockholm. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was updated and modern. The location is perfect and within walking distance to everything to see in Stockholm, and also only a short distance to the subway for those who don't want to walk.

superzentrale und ruhige Lage. Frühstück überausreichend. Zu Fuss in 10 Minuten ohne ausreichende Ortskenntnisse in der Altstadt. 100% weiterzuempfehlen.

The location of the hotel was very good. For our car there was a parking under the hotel. When we told our Swedish friends we should stay in the Scandic Hotel, they said it was a good idea because of the Scandic Hotels are famous of their breakfast. We sure will recommend this hotel.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, 5 min. zur Metrostation Karlaplan. Das Zimmer war ausreichend ausgestattet. Wir haben zwar im Keller gewohnt und irgendwo dürfte in der Nähe unseres Zimmers eine Wasserleitung oder Ähnliches vorbeigegangen sein, weil in der Nacht und auch die Zeit, die wir im Zimmer verbrachten, das Wasser sehr oft plätscherte. Aber trotz alledem waren wir sehr zufrieden und das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr lecker.

Ziemlich zentral gelegen. Freundliches Personal. Zimmer war in der Realität deutlich besser als in der Hotel-Beschreinung - gerne wieder!

Only downside is the music from the bar below. On the other hand there is a great bar below the Hotel. Go down for a drink in your pj's. We were on the third floor, you could feel/hear the bass but not enough to keep you from sleeping. Stayed in the standard room, plenty of space, huge by European standards, waterfall shower, it was awesome. Service was great, we scored free wraps from the hostess one night. The key code to get into your room is also cool and convenient. The old elevator next to the modern talking one is a novel alternative. Would stay again and recommend to friends

Our room was very small, but I think there were larger choices, just not available when we reserved. The 'check-in area" was the hallway on the way to the elevator, and there was a computer for people to check themselves in if they had made a reservation directly thru the hotel. Room "keys" were a number code for the door lock of your room. We required an actual person to check in because we booked thru an outside agency, but that was easily done. The hotel seemed dark and they don't use a lot of light in either their foyer, bar or restaurant,nor halls but they were all very warm and inviting nonetheless. Breakfast, (included) was good and the bar had live music on some nights. We did not have any dinners there, but it was always busy so I assume it was good. I would definitely stay there again, but if I were staying for a long time, or had a lot of luggage, I would try and reserve a larger room.

Die sehr zentrale Lage in Östermalm ist toll! Mein Tipp: Ein Zimmer mit extragrossem Bett bestellen, da dann das Zimmer grösser ist. Wer lärmempfindlich ist, sollte wissen, dass sich im Hotel ein Bistro/Club befindet, wo am Wochenende laute Musik gespielt wird.

eigentlich möchte ich diesem hotel ja wirklich gerne alle fünf sterne zugestehen, wäre da nicht dieser megalaute nachtclub ein paar häuser weiter, dessen pochende bässe einem die nacht – auch bei geschlossener doppelverglasung – zum tag machen. und der club schliesst erst um 05:00 in der früh. bis dann warten selbstredend auch dutzende taxis auf die vielen betrunkenen, hörgeschädigten clubbesucher, die ihre unterhaltungen nur noch rufend und gröhlend herausschreien können. wer nicht mit einem über jeden zweifel erhabenen tiefschlaf gesegnet ist, sollte sich also besser schon von anfang an um ein seelenruhiges hinterhofzimmer bemühen. ansonsten boten die beiden individuellen und sehr gepflegten, sauberen zimmer, die ich während fünf tagen belegte (siehe oben), eine wirklich schöne einrichtung auf ihren parkettböden. auch die bäder waren eine augenweide. die lage des stureplan hotels war für meine zwecke (nähe shopping und ausflüge) ideal. der hafen mit den ausflugsschiffen zum beispiel für schärenbootsfahrten (sehr empfehlenswert: 3-stündige brunch-fahrt der "stockholm" nach vaxholm!) ist zu fuss in zehn minuten erreichbar, das vasa-museum in einer halben stunde – ebenso der freiluftpark "skansen". alles in allem: jederzeit sehr gerne wieder!

The Mornington is just steps from the Ostermalmstorg Metro (1 stop from the Central Station), making it very convenient. Though we arrived late in the evening, we were warmly & promptly greeted and given suggestions on where to grab a bite. This hotel is walking distance to everything and surrounded by cute little shops and cafes. The room itself is delightful, very modern yet charming. Everything was polished to perfection, with extras such as toiletries, bathrobe & slippers, books, fridge, coffee, tea and chocolate. Super comfortable bed and pillows, with two twin duvets for a double room (meaning that my husband won't steal all the covers - what a novel idea)! Noise - from the outside or other rooms - was never an issue. There is also a desk, loveseat and flat screen TV. One of our favorites was the bathroom - very efficient layout, dual flush toilet, gorgeous trough sink, and towel warmer! We opted not to get our room serviced the 3 days we were there and the great housekeeping staff always left bags with fresh towels, toiletries and chocolate hanging on the doorknob for us. The extra touches really impressed us. Be sure to purchase the breakfast with your room - the variety and freshness of food is the outstanding. And we can't say enough about the service. From the front desk to the restaurant staff, everyone was friendly and helpful. There's also a computer at the front desk from which you have free internet access.

What a beautiful hotel! We had one of the studio rooms on the seventh floor. They are not large by any means but the size is made up for by the design, the gorgeous view out over the rooftops and the little sun deck. We just loved everything about this hotel (except the price of a glass of wine in the lobby. Watch out for that!) in particular the way the lobby is set out as a kind of library. Highly recommended. Good restaurants nearby.

Only had a day in Stockholm, but the hotel is in the heart of Stockholm. The room was clean, the breakfast buffet was awesome, service was quality, and the there was free wifi. Overall, Scandic Anglais is a great deal.

Small, but clean and well functioning room. Right in the middle of everything in Stockholm. Staff somewhat less servece-minded than elsewhere in the world which is probably a Swedish phenomenon rather than one for this hotel, although functionally excellent. Only real drawback was the crowded breakfast lounge.

I did tourist things, ate and relaxed. The staff was super nice and the hotel experience was great for the money, even though it was going through some renovations.

This hotel is very convenently located for sightseeing in Stockholm. The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished. The location is quiet. The metro station is only a couple of blocks away--and just 2 stops from Central Station. Many of the city's major attractions are within walking distance--provided you have some sturdy walking shoes to do combat with the cobblestone walkways. The hotel itself is very nice, totally nonsmoking, and with very helpful staff--all of whom speak English well. The breakfast selections are numerous and delicious. There's afternoon coffee and cake, as well as an evening buffet supper included in the price of the room. The buffet is limited, but adequate--especially if you're too tired after the day's activities to go out to a restaurant.
