Okay but nothing great.
While the hotel is located in a great location. The hotel is from the early 20th century and feels like it was last cleaned somewhere around that time as well. Dusty room, vibrations from the club next door, bad smelling sewer-ish bathroom and broken air conditioners are not worth paying the premium you do for the hotel.

Quiet during the day, party at night
The staff was friendly, the breakfast was delicious, the location is great. What surprised me about the Berns Hotel was it was so quiet and peaceful during the day, but then from 1 to 4 am during the weekend nights/early mornings there is blaring, booming, thunderous, reverberating bass throbbing throughout the hotel so loudly it actually shook my room. The hotel has a dance club that has three dance floors, which they proudly stated when I asked about the noise the following morning, but I would not stay here again during a weekend night especially for the money I spent to stay here when I had to get up early the next morning. I could have stayed at the Radisson or the Grand Hotel for a little less than the money I spent at the Berns and I don't think I would have had a unwanted dance party going on in my room. It is quiet and peaceful during the weeknights though so if you are a business traveler or someone who doesn't club, it would be great for the weeknights, but consider yourself warned about the weekend nights.

Not really impressed
Great location. Friendly Staff. Loud music from the DISCO until 3am. Not a happy camper. Would not recommend it to anyone other than a 20 something. Hotel staff did not warn us and could (our would) not change our rooms. I suspect that all rooms are noisy. Not happy.

Big Price - Pleasant Staff
The Berns is perfectly located for most all sightseeing in Stockholm. Easy walk to Gamla Stan and easy transit access to other locations. We understand that hotels across Scandinavia are expensive but you would think there would be just a hint of something extra for that big price, and there just isn't. The rooms at the Berns are quite small(we rented a "large"- comparable to a US small room). There was no coffee or tea making equipment in the room, no ice machines available (need to call room service and be prepared for a charge for the ice). The hotel has limited air conditioning so be prepared for this. Very nice breakfast with a great outdoor dining area. Staff is wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful.

Great location and lovely service
We stayed four days in Berns Hotel for a weekend holiday in Stockholm. The hotel is in a super location, right in the middle of town close by to the boat trips, sights of the old town and palace and shopping. Our room was small but very comfortable and had everything we needed including a balcony. The hotel gives temporary membership to the Sturebad spa which is lovely. We also found the restaurant and bar fun to spend time in. In addition - I left my jacket behind on the last day and the reception desk were kind enough to send it back to the UK at no extra cost - an extremely generous gesture and very much appreciated.

Centrally Located Hotel With Great Break
Very able and responsive staff, obviously trained highly to provide customer service. Check in process was excellent. Rooms are clean and well appointed and very adequate. Might want to request upper floor room to avoid noise from bar restaurant at night. Personally prefer sixth floor with balcony. Breakfast is great and included in price. Well known hotel located in the center of the best known shopping district in the city.

Pretty nice value.
Very nice value given the time of year is peak season. I moved from the Sheraton which I was unhappy with. Attentive Staff, small boutique hotel really, tiny room was a negative but I traveled by myself so not a huge deal, great free breakfast in the morning. A little off the beaten path but in a very nice area of downtown with many nice restaraunts and clubs. This hotel NEEDS black out windows or you need to take the horse blinders with you cause you will be awake 24 hours per day.

Dont buy anything in stockholm unless you are willing to pay about 2 to 3 times what you would pay for it anywhere else.
