Location couldn't be better - it's close to any attractions in the city. Every morning we did have in our room the best coffee I've ever try and now I am missing it! People at the desk were very friendly!
Will stay again if I go back to Geneva!
Must try Swiss coffee (and bring one home)!

Excellent hotel but rather pricey

Stayed here whilst at a conference at Palexpo. Very good hotel. Prices for drinks and restaurant very expensive though.
Ran courtesy bus to airport and Palexpo.
Refurbished room very nice. Friend's room on 11th floor not refurbished and looked tired.
Free internet desktops in lobby but free wifi would have been a plus.
Room had UK plug sockets! Very appreciable.
Had a fitness centre but would have loved a pool.

Excellent service. My luggage missed my flight and arrived on a later flight. The hotel shuttle driver picked up my luggage and had it delivered to my room. I could not have done that more efficiently if I went to the airport to pick up my luggage. It is a very comfortable place to spend time after a long flight.

Spent one night before an early flight out of Geneva. With a free shuttle to airport (every 20 minutes) and free breakfast, it's perfect. Room, Staff and Value were fine, no complaints.

(and if you want to get downtown Geneva, take the shuttle to/from the airport to reach the train station with regular service to the city)
Free wi-fi in the lobby, bi(tri)-lingual staff.
I was very happy with this hotel for my one night stop-over between flights at GVA.

The hotel is two blocks from Lake Geneva and a five minute walk to the city centre. Compared to most rooms in Europe, the room was well equipped and included a coffee maker and AC. The staff was professional and spoke English.

Inside very different to the outside

very handy location literally across the road from the main train station. Although from the outside the hotel looks very dated, the interior has been renovated and the room I stayed in, despite having the narrowest door I have ever seen, was a good standard and acceptable size. The only negative point for me that there were no facilities like gym or pool. Breakfast was in a nice airy room with a good choice.

Great hotel and not too expensive given the prices in Geneva! I really wasn't sure what to expect bc I though the reviews were a little mixed. Just stopped through for the night while on business and it was perfect. Close the lake and right next to the train station. Can walk everywhere. The room was also bigger than I expected, although I'm from the US, so everything seems tiny to me here. Free internet - always a plus. Really friendly people at the front desk and they all spoke English - another plus. The bathrooms were also nicely done, big for Europe and clean - that's always a sign of a good hotel. Enjoy!

he St-James Residence is located in an elegant district in the center of town on a street parallel with the River Rhone. There is excellent shopping nearby and the hotel is also close to Quay Gustave Ador where you can go for long walks along the edge of the lake.

I found everyone very helpful at reception. We booked for twin share as I travelled with my sister. We were given an appartment with a double bedroom plus a comfortable pull down bed in the sitting/kitchen area. This suited us well as we could sleep alone. The appartment was well serviced and adequate for the price paid.

The hotel is located quite far from the city center - 20 minutes by car, however, the good point was that the hotel shuttle bus could collect you from and deliver to airport at any time for free.

The hotel was clean spacious. Breakfast was super expensive and not that good, but everything is expensive in Geneva. The only bad thing was that the wifi wasn't the most reliable.

Excellent hotel, friendly staff and very clean and newly furnished room. The icing on the cake would have been if this hotel was nearer the centre of Geneva but the Hotel makes up for that by giving guests a free pass for transport, making town only 10 minutes away. Highly recommended and great value.

Right near the train station with all the tram stop transfers. Free internet in business center. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Rooms clean and not too small.

Nice hotel, well located. Rooms very pleasant, and unaffected by noise from nearby main road and railway. Breakfast looked good but was expensive, and CHF40 to park in the car park for one night was definitely over the top.

Clean, conveniently located

I enjoyed staying here for my first time visiting Geneva. It's easy to find from the train station and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. The decor is modern and very clean and feels new. The rooms are small but well designed. Free wifi and free continental breakfast. I enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend to other travelers.

Having stayed in other hotels for business near the center of Geneva (between the railroad station and the lake) I was quite satisfied with the Windsor. I stayed 3 nights and would gladly stay again. The single room was small (typical for Geneva) but very clean, neat and quiet, and less than half the price of other hotels in the area. Free Wi-Fi, free breakfast and air-conditioning are not standard in other hotels, as they are at the Windsor. The front of the hotel fronts a not-so-great block, but the hotel's got a back entrance which is on the next block - and this is a better street and even closer to the City Center.

Clean, Contemporary Room with Good Locat

Hotel is located a couple of blocks up from the train station, making it convenient for the travelers coming and going to other destinations. The room was contemporary, updated, clean and quiet. We had three people staying in the room, and found it to be roomy enough to move around. I wish that breakfast was included, and not an additional 30 Swiss francs per person! To find a breakfast place, we had to walk several blocks. In the evening, the neighborhood feels a little less than comfortable, but there are people around so it's not unsafe.

Great Hotel, Great Position, Great Value

We spent a long weekend here. The room was well appointed, had pretty much everything that you could want, was quiet (overlooking a park) and was in a good location for getting around the city. We booked 3 or 4 weeks in advance and saved about 50% on the Bristol's standard rate. Highly recommended if you're looking for a more traditional 4* hotel.
Geneva - great city, but really expensive (and we live in Brussels!).

Great service, clean room, very good location. My only beef is that they charged for an electricity converter, despite the fact that there use to be a working one in the room, already installed on the wall. Big points off for that.

I was in Geneva on business during a very busy period and got priced out of the nicer hotel I stayed in for the rest of the week. Montbrilliant is literally next to the train station and on a busy road so it is noisy and busy (my room overlooked the street). Hallways are a bit dark. The rooms were small and a bit musty smelling. It has been a while since I slept in a twin bed in a hotel room- though it was comfortable! The upside is that the B-fast is really very good. The hotel is fine for a night or two provided you are a heavy sleeper.

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. First or all, the traveler must keep in mind that this is Geneva. There is no value for money in this town. 200 or so CHF is cheap. When I arrived I was very pleased with how new and clean my little single room was. Nice new bathroom, terrific buffet breakfast and fabulous location for those working in Geneva. Aesthetically, the room was nothing special and certainly not like the nice rooms pictured on the website. But, and this is a big one, the bed was horrific - like one from a VERY cheap hotel The next day the management was wonderful and immediately switched me to an executive single with a bigger and much better bed. The room was much nicer as well (though still not the four stars claimed). So, be warned don't stay in the little singles because I was told that all of the beds are similarly lousy. I still have one caveat, the hotel is right next door to the train station, which is great for commuting but can be noisy. All of the bigger rooms are on the outside of the hotel. My second room was pretty quiet. I was away from the train station and on a higher floor, but I would be very concerned about the noise from the station side. Maybe another reviewer has commented on that....
