Hotel Residence St James

This hotel needs big improvement. Rooms are outdated so are the furniture’s. The price they charge for this room you can spend little extra and get better hotel. Avoid this hotel.

My husband and I were very satisfied with this hotel. It was very cheap comparing to other hotels in the city and location is great. Small kitchen in the room allows you to cook and it's fully equipped.

With equipped kitchen, situated right next to the lake of Geneva, well connected by public transport it is a good place for compfortable long stay in heart of Geneva. * 24 hours laundry operational in basement (no extra charges) * Ironing included in room * Gas cooktop and microwave equipped kitchen is certainly suited for longer stays Lake of geneva, nightclubs, bus and tram stands all situated within walking distance of a block or two max

50 meters fron Jet-de-Eau (Fountain in Geneva lake) hotel is located in center of city. With kitchenette fully equipped, provision of ironing within the apartment and laundry with drier accesible round the clock (At no extra cost) - all basic amneties for a compfortable stay longer than week are well maintained. PERFECT value for money. Reception closing at 11 pm and room cleaning not regular daily it might not suit those looking for stat hotels and regular services for a day or two.

Thank to Mr. Ben and the staff. We were at this hotel several times, and it good by the location, Pleasant of the staff. The kitchen is very comfortable and well equipped, and if anything was missing, they are always happy to assist you and complete. We are going to come again and again. Who come from a hot and wet Country, you should now that at summer it is hot and dry, so you dont need to bring to much cloth, or hot close. the temp' at geneve mostly better than shows at the wether site or press. Dont forget to take the free card Public transportation at the all CANTON. Enjoy your stay, the hotel is close to everywhere ...

The hotel rooms are not equiped with fire alarm sensors .. the elevator is in a ver bad condition .. the Main entrance door of the hotel is not locked after midnight .. the rooms are not ver clean especially the bathroom .. the house keeping service works twice a week and if you request to have new clean bed sheets there will be a charge for that you would lso request soap and shampoo and towels from the reception.. there are no complimentaries like other hotels provide like a bottle of water .. how, ever the staff are very friendly to the guests .. Overall , i have seen better hotels with that kind of price in europe

The front desk lady is not so nice , doesn't have service mind . the room is not clean and old,should be refurbished.

I found everyone very helpful at reception. We booked for twin share as I travelled with my sister. We were given an appartment with a double bedroom plus a comfortable pull down bed in the sitting/kitchen area. This suited us well as we could sleep alone. The appartment was well serviced and adequate for the price paid.

The location, a block from the lake and two blocks from the bus line, and about four blocks from old town is great. It was a residence hotel that allowed cooking and even pets. However the rooms were not cleaned daily and kitchen lacked some necessities such as drain cover. The staff was helpful would bring things if you requested them. If you want luxury, it is not a good hotel, but if you want to save a little money cooking for yourself sometimes it is great.
