Met the need
While the Windsor was comfortable and met all the basic needs, it definitely is lacking in some ways. The decor was somewhat depressing, being much black & gray. The staff was not overly friendly, though nice enough. The women of the street out the window provided sad entertainment. The rooms were bare minimum, but the beds & pillows comfortable, and I know there are people that have so much less in the world, so I wouldn't complain! Overall it met our needs, but I would probably stay somewhere else if I were to visit Geneva again.

Last night in Geneva
Very nice hotel. The location is central and near the station but just in the middle of a not too nice area. Beautiful room and very comfortable. Good breakfast! Elevators really small and Wi-Fi is free but the signal doesn't make it all the way to the sixth floor (where I was)!

Clean, conveniently located
I enjoyed staying here for my first time visiting Geneva. It's easy to find from the train station and there are many shops and restaurants nearby. The decor is modern and very clean and feels new. The rooms are small but well designed. Free wifi and free continental breakfast. I enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend to other travelers.

Good value for the money
Having stayed in other hotels for business near the center of Geneva (between the railroad station and the lake) I was quite satisfied with the Windsor. I stayed 3 nights and would gladly stay again. The single room was small (typical for Geneva) but very clean, neat and quiet, and less than half the price of other hotels in the area. Free Wi-Fi, free breakfast and air-conditioning are not standard in other hotels, as they are at the Windsor. The front of the hotel fronts a not-so-great block, but the hotel's got a back entrance which is on the next block - and this is a better street and even closer to the City Center.

Don't forget to get your free transportation pass at the airport near where you pick up your luggage! To get back to the airport from the City Center take the number 10 city bus - it is quick, direct and much cheaper than a taxi.
