Agora Swiss Night

If you want to have a taste of the Swissness, you could not find it anywhere else. Blanket from the Swiss army, Cows on the lamps. Red color in the Shower. And the Breakfast room on the 9th floor with a breathtaking view on the Leman Lake. A must for the true Swiss Fan.

Very convenient to train station with nice size room and a quiet location. Breakfast was quite expensive, so we purchased food to keep in the room and got coffee from a cute little place about a block away called Cafe Romantica. Great sandwiches and pastries and you can have your petit dejenier there too. We would definitely recommend the hotel to others and would stay there again if we returned to Lausanne.

Hotel Agora was well worth the money. I expected a pretty bad hotel actually, but was very happily surpised. The room was large, including a desk and dining table. Full bathroom, fridge, coffee in room, plasma tv and AC. I had stayed in an upscale hotel in the same city just one week before, and it was 3 times the nightly rate. I expected Agora to be more or less a whole in the wall. I didnt try breakfast there. Staff was friendly and spoke english. I walked to the train station about 2 blocks away. There are a few places to eat within walking distance. No scenery, but what you are getting at the hotel saves you enough for a rental car so you can drive to the town or lake. The only downside to the hotel on my stay was that the room had a little smell to it. I was not sure if it was smoke, which it probably was like most euro hotels that are smoke/non-smoke. It wasnt bad enough to impact my stay, and turning on the AC seemed to help. I'd stay here again absoulutely for sure. Out of the 6 different euro hotels I stayed in on this trip, the Agora was number 3 in terms of nice, and number 2 in terms of cheap. 3 other rooms i stayed in were much worse, and all three more $$.

très déçue parfait pour un deux étoiles mais pas un 4. Chambre en sous sol à demi enterrée avec vu sur les roues des voitures du parking. décoration de la chambre défraissit, ( à noter que notre ami qui payé pour un surclassement avait une chambre plus vieillotte que la notre) baignoire abimée. en résumé cher que ce que c 'est

Angenehmes Hotel, zentral gelegen, in der Nähe des Bahnhof von Lausanne. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Es fehlt allerdings etwas Privatssphäre im Badezimmer, weil die Wandung aus Glas besteht, kann man sowohl in die Dusche als auch in die Toilette vom Zimmer einsehen. Das hat mir nicht so sehr gefallen.
