Dining

The Cote Jardin
A feast for the senses in the land of flavours, with a veranda and large panoramical terrace. Bathed with sunlight, this Mediterranean restaurant gets its inspiration from the Colours of the South as well as more exotic influences, while being accompanied at night by the notes of a piano player. A touch of Italy with its typical fresh pasta specialties, a look towards the Sea or the Country: the cuisines of Nice and Spain mingle with North African, Asian- or Indian- inspired compositions. And the lavish buffet of antipasti, cheeses and desserts always echoes the rich diversity of variations offered. Finally, the generous Sunday Brunch is a cornucopia of superb meats, poultry and fish, carved before your eyes, or fresh breads and danish: a not-to-be-missed rendez-vous! Living to the rhythm of the seasons, the Cote Jardin Brunch manages to make you feel as in a market, or even a country farm.
The Grand Chene
The only typical Parisian Brasserie in Lausanne, the Grand-Chene immerses you in the atmosphere of the 1930's as you peruse its Gazette, which boasts ever-popular traditional dishes such as the Alsatian Sauerkraut, the Caf de Paris entrecote, mussels and fries, rich stews or Shellfish platters. Regardless of your choice, freshness and quality are always on call. From 6.30 am until the wee hours, the Brasserie du Grand-Chene welcomes you every day of the week in a setting reminiscent of the bustling and buoyant Parisian life: green leather wall seats, copper ornaments and tags of celebrities who are restaurant regulars. At all times of the day, the kitchen will honor your order, although you may simply wish for a drink at the bar, ranging from the inevitable draft beer to a choice of classical wines, worthy of the best brasseries.
The Palace Sushi-Zen
We are pleased to welcome you at the Palace Sushi Zen, whose philosophy is to reinvent traditional Japanese cuisine. The constant quest of an itamaesan is to modernise his way of cooking by intimately combining aesthetics and taste. The pleasure of the eye being the first step of a tasting, the former has to be fulfilled in order for tastebuds to begin the unexpected journey this "avant-garde" cuisine invites you to.The neophyte will become initiated to the blending of flavours and colours while the tsu (true connoisseur) will appreciate these audacious compositions. The creation of a new culinary atmosphere implies a mixing of cultures and the elaboration of a new kind of dish. Astonishment is the key word of this culinary quest; hotel aim is to extract you from your daily reality and to offer you a parenthesis of discoveries and change of scenery.
Year End Holiday Season
Over the Year End Holiday Season, please contact the Hotel directly for restaurant bookings. Indeed, due to high popularity, availabilities are scarce, and in order to prevent disappointments, please inquire ahead. Happy Holidays!
The Table d'Edgard
Ensuring an exceptional cuisine, it boasts all the characteristics of a five-star Hotel while remaining faithful to the inviting and convivial soul of the Lausanne Palace & Spa. In the image of the Palace, this gourmet restaurant offers uncompromised quality whilst favoring a warm and individualized welcome. The noble materials paired with the sober decor are in the image of the dishes created by the Chef: a quest for authenticity that sublimates noble products. A Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, which follows the waltz of seasons and the golden rules of dietary balance. Be it with short cooking methods or time-consuming stews, the inventiveness of the Chef and its brigade expresses itself in a refined and light fashion: subtle jus replace cream and butter sauces; meats, fishes and crustaceans are magnified while fresh produce has the leading part. An exclusive pleasure crowned by a unique view of Lake Geneva and the Alps, as well as a beautiful terrace for long summer nights.
La Table d'Hotes
Enjoy a menu specially created for you by Chef Edgard Bovier, while admiring the excitement and effervescence of the Brigade in the heart of the action. At the Table d'Hotes, you have front row seats. Overlooking the kitchen of the gourmet restaurant, this privileged space allows you to experience the show live , while preserving your intimacy. Recently refurbished following a most inviting design, the Table d'Hotes may welcome up to 6 patrons.

Magnificent hotel and friendly staff

The hotel lived up to the name "Palace and Spa". It's one of the best hotels in Lausanne and offers a wide range of restaurants and bars within the hotel as well as being very convenient to other local attractions and transportation. I would recommend a room near the top (5th or 6th floor) as the views of the lake and surround area only get better as you go up. The concierge was fabulous - very helpful, always had good recommendations and took the time to understand our needs before making suggestions. while it's expensive I recommend eating at La Table D'Edgard. I would however avoid room-service (way to expensive for what you get)
