Hotel De la Paix Lucerne

I struggled to find a wheelchair friendly hotel in Lucern. There is a small step (not more than 2 - 3 cm) getting into the hotel. The room is large with a shower. The hotel provided a plastic chair for showering. I can recommend this hotel.

This hotel was a great location to see the sites! I was there with my husband, my 16 month old son, and my sister for just one night. We wanted to be close so we could see as much as possible while we were there, without wasting time commuting. If you stay at the hotel, there is a 10% discount at the nearby parking garage (coming to 23CHF for 24 hours). The hotel provided a crib. I had asked for it in a memo during the reservation, but they did not get it- however, there was no problem getting them to set one up last minute when we checked in. The complementary continental breakfast was great- not just bread and cheese like some European breakfasts. We had a great room with a balcony overlooking the shopping district below. No problem with noise or traffic though. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Reservation for one hotel and ended up in their other hotel, which was right next door, but it was in noisier location and more modern building, not at all like photo on [...] sight.

Just as expensive and not nearly as nice as our hotels in Rome, Venice, and Paris. Way too much money for the basic (but clean and servicable) room. In addition there was no free parking - we had to pay 25 euros to park the car overnight. Breakfast was very good.

This hotel was in a great location, however the facilities were a problem. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and also no iron or ironing board. Apart from this, it was a clean hotel with friendly staff.

Our room was remodeled, comfortable and very clean with wood floors. The bathroom set-up was excellent and we spent some time on the balcony overlooking the street scene. The hotel has both free internet access and wi-fi access. This was important because we were booking hotels as our trip progressed. Normally, I don't pine for Starbucks, but after several weeks in Europe, a large, American-style coffee hit the spot. Starbucks is located next to the hotel and they have 30 minutes of free internet access with a purchase. The only negative was the tiny TV mounted at the far end of the room. We tried to watch soccer/football on it, but couldn't see the game from the bed.

The Hotel De La Paix was clean, comfortable, and very conveniently located. The staff was friendly, helpful, and caring. The fact that this hotel is virtually minutes from the sightseeing section of Lucerne was fantastic. Parking is available next door, but is not included in the room rate. We were offered a discounted parking rate since we were at this hotel. The room, though somewhat small based on American standards, was typical for a room in a major European city. We had a very pleasant stay here, & would recommend it to others.

Muy bien situado en el centro de la ciudad. La habitación era espaciosa, aunque disponía de una TV muy pequeña. El baño también era pequeño. La limpieza, instalaciones y servicio eran correctos. El desayuno bufet muy variado y bueno.
