Great Location

Great value, quiet, great buffet. Kinda a business center hotel. Minibar is free (no liquor) and so is wifi. Only problem is if you arrive by car, hotel is in a pedestrian zone!! Difficult to figure out, GPS was all confused.

Perfect!

Perfect location lacking only a lake view within walking distance of everything. Extremely convenient for anyone arriving by rail (less than 20 yards from bottom of funicular stop which runs from the railroad station down to town). Hotel 15-20 minutes by car from Agno airport so equally convenient. very responsive staff, choice of pillows for added comfort. room upgrade recommended over lowest price room to get 1hr free wireless internet and great room for price

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Food at Cantinone restaurant in square straight ahead from hotel front door is excellent. One more street (and some steps) further forward is Manor restaurant (part of the department store) for wonderful food in a cafeteria buffet setting recommended for breakfast / lunch. Not so good for dinner due to less variety.

Fabulous hotel! Very well located

Fabulous hotel! Very well located with easy access to banks, money changers, telephone companies, pharmacies, restaurants & a quick trip with a sky lift to railway station - only 1.10 sf!! Hotel staff were very courteous & the breakfast is definitely the best in Lugano! Rooms are slightly small but very comfortable & clean..Very highly recommended by a frequent traveller..
