great location and I got a great price for Zurich.

I was passing through Zurich on one night stay and could have asked for a more perfect location, hotel and staff. Without a doubt, I will be staying at this hotel chain again.

Wir waren nur ein Nacht im Hotel Senator, das jetzt angeblich vier Sterne hat. Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich, ein großer TV hängt über dem Bett. Leider war unser Doppelbett eigentlich zwei Einzelbetten, die nicht zusammengehängt waren - sie sind also dauernd auseinander gerutscht. Frühstück ist nicht inkludiert. Die Lage des Hotels sehr gut, nur wenige Straßenbahn-Stationen vom Bahnhof und dem Zentrum entfernt.

Being a 4 star hotel, I expected to find coffee and tea facilities in the hotel room, but apart from a kettle, there were none. Also both soap dispensers in the bathroom weren't topped up all during our stay. Bar and restaurant prices were over the top.

The central location was perfect for us. Our room was compact but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was not included, but there are restaurants and a large grocery store nearby. The central train station & Bahnhofstrasse were just across the bridge over the Limmat River, and the old town is just to the south. The in-house restaurant was very good if very expensive. Given that Zurich is one of the world's most expensive cities, this hotel offers reasonable value.

Great location and efficient staff. Hotel is very well-kept but rooms are quite small.

We had a quick weekend in Zurich and loved this location. But the impeccable front desk staff really made the stay special. They were helpful, friendly and very attentive. The hotel itself is right on the tram line and the neighborhood is pretty quiet (although we were there when neither FC Zurich or Grasshopper were playing and the stadium they share is only about 300m away). We had an upgraded room with contemporary. The indoor pool was great, but we wished it stayed open later. Breakfast buffet was good, if a little pricey, but everything in Zurich is.

Good location but very noisy as the hotel is on the main road where the trams are ran. Value for money in Zurich though.

The staff at this hotel was very helpful especially condidering English is not their first language. They knew enough to help me on my trip

Tolle Lage: in Bahnhofsnähe und unmittelbar in der Altstadt gelegen.

The single room was quite small, but was nevertheless extremely clean and comfortable, as was the hotel as a whole. The location, in the old town one short block from the river, is excellent, and a short 5-7 min walk from the main train station. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Rooms clean, minimalist, cool (in the trendy sense) and very comfortable. All staff very friendly and welcoming. Waitress helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. Area quiet. Hotel tucked neatly into a corner. Trees in courtyard a nice feature. Definitely not just another faceless hotel.

the hotel is very well kept. Rooms are a great size, with enough space for luggage and room to walk about. Rooms are very well cleaned, new linens, clean and good size bathroom. The showers are a bit odd as there isn't really a door but regardless clean and easy on the eyes. Staff is very helpful and can give advice for buses and train travel, and yes they speak english. Be sure to check out the train route as it is about a 10min or less walk but also buses that take you to the train station with direct trains to zurich.

This hotel is less than 5 miles from the Zurich airport but less convenient because the shuttle bus only leaves once an hour and it doesn't run at all in the middle of the day. I actually made a mistake booking there, and it was sort of inconvenient. But on the other hand, the hotel itself is quite nice, there is an unusually excellent italian restaurant right there, the staff was very nice, etc. I made it work without a big problem, just working more around the shuttle than I thought I would. I walked to the train station from the hotel and headed into downtown Zurich without any problem at all.

Very good hotel when you are on vacation, great rate for being so near the train station. When I am on vacation, I do not want to just stay in the room. I want to get out and see the sites and this hotel is just the ticket. Good bed, good bathroom, nice and clean, reasonable rates. I would use this hotel again and recommend it to anyone. It is not a plush spot, but I have over twice as much money in my pocket, that those 5 star ones cost.

Extremely nice and helpful reception staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Great for airport access. Overpriced breakfast. Morning airport shuttle became full and I had to get out and take a taxi. The hotel did pay for the taxi however. Would stay there again.

really cozy modern room with adjustable beds, immaculately clean. Only problem was that despite reserving shuttle service to the airport for the following morning someone else seemed to have used our room number and there was no space for us. I don't blame the hotel for this just some very rude guest!

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant had an average menu and the food was good. We had chicken which was excellent and salmon which was slightly overdone. One negative was that the only soap provided was in squeeze bottles glued to the wall which were difficult to use.

overall, this hotel lived up to its name. the staff was fantastic! the location was perfect. The room was comfortable and clean. well done!

駅の近くとの立地でこのホテルに決めましたが、ウェルカムドリンクやお菓子、フルーツを頂いたり、部屋も清潔で素敵でしたのでとても良かったです。 只、受付のご年配の女性と、若い研修生らしき女性の態度が非常に悪く、がっかりでした。 こちらは恥ずかしながら、英語があまり分からずにいたのですが、長い英語でベラベラと早口で捲し立て、こちらを大変馬鹿にした様子でした。 英語の勉強不足も良くないで、今後頑張りたいと思いますが、今まで旅行したホテルの受付の方々は、皆丁寧で親切で、こんなひどい受付の対応は初めてのことでした。 長い電車の旅をして疲れていましたが、本当に不愉快でとても悲しかった。 旅の最後のホテルでしたが、とても印象が悪く、台無しになってしまいました。 後でベルボーイの方の暖かで親切な応対に救われましたので、サービスの評価は「良い」にしました。 スイスはとても素晴らしい国ですので、またいつか訪れたいと思っていますが、あの二人の女性のような心無い方がいるならば、このホテルにはもう泊まりたくありませんし、友人にも勧められません。

The Leonid has a bar called "The Crazy Cow." That gives you an idea of the sense of humor the management has. The room was small but comfortable. There is a tram stop directly in front of the Leonid, which goes to the Airport. Very convenient for coming in and leaving Zurich. The ride was about 30 minutes. (It's a shorter ride on the train.) We bought all-day passes for the tram almost each day we were in Zurich. The all-day pass gets you on the tram, bus, train, even on the funnicular (basically a cog railroad) - pretty much any public transportation in Zone 10 (Downtown Zurich). Even so, we walked kilometers each day -most of it up and down hills. Bring walking shoes!

The hotel and staff were great and the location was near everything that we wanted to see and were able to walk to. The train station is five minutes away by walking and a real plus. The wifi did not work on our iphones but the free hotel computer was very adequate. And the staff were fantastic in helping us.

This hotel was great. The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were comfy and the food was excellent. You are not in the center of everything, but everything is still within walking distance- including the shopping areas.

Wonderful stay at tidy comfy hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Close to Opera house and center of town. Great renovated bathroom, comfortable/ adjustable bed, and espresso machine in room. Only problem was the maid did not replace our shampoo, towel, and coffee. Price was a bit steep but it was a fun splurge.

Perfect location from the train station. Located in the heart of the Bahnhofstrasse Shopping District and only a 5-minute walk away from Lake Zurich and Old Town Zurich. Staff was very friendly and accommodating especially with speaking English. Will definitely stay with them again or a sister hotel.

I was on a visit to Zurich and as always, I have stayed at the Seidenhof hotel. As always, I have enjoyed my stay at this excellent, well-run hotel.

my wife and I stayed at the Ascot for 2 nites and had a wonderful stay. the front desk personnel were helpful and accomodating . Would reccomend strongly to others .

I was in Zurich on business and my boyfriend came along for pleasure. The hotel, as many have noted, is not in central Zurich, but its access to the train station is very close and Zurich HB is literally the next stop on the line so it's a quick and easy trip in to the city center. The area is marked by several industrial buildings where ships were once built, and the buildings have been redone into small clubs, eateries, cafes, and whatnot. We found while wandering that we were quite close to the river as well, and it was very hot while we were here so we went swimming in the river (strong current, so be prepared). Back to the hotel itself: The staff is extremely friendly, they speak English well and are helpful in suggestions for the nearest market, how to get from point A to point B, etc. We kept leaving our room keys behind in the room and they re-did new keys for us more than once without a problem or raising an eyebrow. The breakfast buffet is quite lovely and includes meats, fruit, cereals, hot prepared food, hard-boiled eggs, prosecco located conveniently next to a juicer where you can squeeze your own orange juice with oranges available right there...it's great! The staff tracks who comes and goes and lets you know if your breakfast is included or not, so there should be no surprises. The room was clean and had air conditioning. The AC was key because we were here during a heat wave. The one item missing for me was the availability of a power adapter to keep my laptop charged in the room. I guess I've been spoiled in the past, but I've never stayed somewhere where there wasn't one available in the room, or where you could call down to the desk and they'd bring one up and track it with your credit card in case you leave with it. We had to go buy one next door at the Ibis. Weird. Also, the check in time isn't until 3pm and our US incoming flight got in at 9am so we had to wait until late afternoon to get our room. There were none available for early check in. This wasn't too bad as we went into the city and did a little sightseeing, but we left our luggage behind and I wasn't entirely convinced it was safe. They put it at the side of the front desk and said the luggage storage was full, but I never saw them take any luggage to/from the back while we were there (and other bags were added next to ours), so I question whether there's luggage storage at all. They do put a tag on the bag so you have to match your tag to the luggage to get it back, but there's nothing stopping someone from grabbing your stuff and walking off while the front desk staff is busy doing other things. It was the same situation when we checked out in the morning but weren't leaving until later that day, bags next to the front desk, and other bags were there as well by the time we left. I was a bit worried because my laptop was in my carry on bag. I trusted the situation in the end and didn't incur any loss but I'm still wary of the set up.

This was the last stop on a 5 city quick tour of central Europe. The room and hotel in general were quite comfortable and easy access to public transport getting you into the Old Town within 10 minutes. There are high quality restaurants across the quad. The closest tram is the Forrlibuckstrasse stop, which is frequently overlooked. The Hardbrucke train station and Escher Wyss Platz tram station areas are both currently (July 2010) under construction, but are navigable -- this construction was my only negative about my experience at this hotel. Also, the breakfast is quite nice with lots of options.

It was very pleasant time during our staying.It was very convenient to have a restaurant at the hotel. It was so close to tram & shopping center. And in the same time it is very quite location.

The staff was professional and friendly. Quite knowledgeable about sights in Zurich.

The 1st thing we noticed was how friendly & helpful the staff at the front desk were.This is a nice quiet hotel with a brilliant lake view from our(small)balcony.It was much better priced than many other Zurich hotels.The only downside is that it is about a fifteen minute walk to the cente of town,but the walk along the water promenade makes up for it.Highly recommended.

Clean, good location right on light rail-- easy to downtown. Friendly staff. interior rooms have nice balcony.

Great location from the city and in a nice neighborhood with an accessible supermarket and restaurants.

The Hotel was modern similiar to US Hotels/Motels in that the rooms are large enough to be comfortable. It was the only Hotel in Europe that we found with a carpet, rather than the cold hardwood floors. The restaurant is very expensive and the menus are all in German. English only spoken by desk clerks. Overall experience was good.

Adequate - desk clerk at check in was helpful and we were able to check in early. Desk clerk helped with printing boarding passes. It was clean and quiet which was all we really wanted for an overnight stay after a long European trip.

Enjoyed our brief stay and the restaurant is excellent value for your money.

Unusually spacious room and bath, especially for a layover hotel. Very clean, bright, comfortable. Even the croissants were good.

This hotel was good enough as any other Marriott I have ever visited. Although there was no air conditioning, or it didn't work. Not sure if it is for some swiss regulation on air conditioning. I would recommend it to anyone!

This hotel was close to the train station which was great because we were arriving from the airport. The hotel staff was friendly and helped direct us to our next location. Close by was a starbucks and great sushi at Kai bar aswell as a great (but expensive) restaurant attached to the hotel. There is not much to do around the hotel, but a great place to start our road trip around Switzerland :)
