- The rooms vary quite a lot in size, though the smallest is nonetheless medium-sized. They are beautifully decorated using highest quality materials which combine modern practicality with traditional Swiss rustic style decor. Both the rooms and the charming bathrooms are in exceptional condition.

- The restaurant and bar are on the ground floor. They are in traditional Swiss chalet style, with heavy ornate wooden furnishings and open log fire. The breakfast room is on the first floor and is in the same style as the lobby.

Great stay at Hotel Continentel
This hotel is in a great location; minutes to the Stampfenplatz tram station and the Hauptbahnoff (main train station). It's in a quiet area where getting sleep isn't a problem and very near both the eating district and shopping district. Attached to the hotel is a great Chinese restaurant named Luo. The restaurant is named after the Chef and I believe he was a Michelin Star nominee in 2010, as far as I could tell by the sign on the front door. The menu is fabulous and the styles of cooking are from various regions of China. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations of sites for the city (actually, the entire staff is also exremely friendly). Another good Chinese restaurant is called Chopstick, which is also within minutes of the hotel. There's also other great food/restaurants in Zurich; however, my wife and I just spent 14 days in Germany and wanted to try our at hand at some Asian cuisine.

Fabulous place, excellent service
It's only a couple blocks from the main train station and the old town downtown, so the location is great. I got an unexpected upgrade to a suite, which was really nice and came in handy for business meetings. This may have been because I booked late and was paying a high rate. The service was so attentive that I would be happy to return here.

Zurichtastic!
Staff is very helpful and accomodating. Very comfy down beds and spacious for European accomodation. Close proximity (5 minute walk) to main train station and bus station, 10 minutes walk to Banhofstrasse shopping and old town. Tram stop right out front. Chinese restaurant next door is very good and also does room service!

Exactly what we wanted
This hotel was very cozy, and the staff was helpful. The room was very large with an excellent sitting area, and nice bathroom.

Wonderful Zurich experience
I really found this hotel to be great. It is near the old town and the river, has large rooms, and very friendly staff. I recommend it highly. Zurich is expensive but this hotel is a little less than some similar ones but provides a lot more than the others I have tried. I'd give it an even higher rating if only it and Zurich were even cheaper and if the hotel included breakfast for everyone who pays the overnight price.

If you are in Zurich on a Sunday, virtually all stores are closed. However, if you go to the lower levels of the train station you will find a whole world of rain-free shopping with all the major chocolate and stores open.

Centrally located Hotel
The location was perfect, just minutes away from the Main Station (train to Airport) and close to the center of the old town. The room was very clean and friendly. It even had very well functioning air-conditioning - a very nice feature on a muggy day in Zurich.
