The Hotel St. Gotthard, built in 1889, has been owned and managed by the Manz family for over a century. Recently refurbished, modernized and enlarged with great attention to details, it can be considered as a true architectural achievement in itself and one of the leading business hotels in Zurich. The five-floor building provides a free Wireless Internet access for all 138 spacious rooms, including 8 Suites. With its three restaurants and the newly designed Lobby, Front Desk area and rooms (last room renovation 2012) the Hotel St. Gotthard meets all the expectations of the demanding traveler. The Hotel is situated directly in the heart of the city, located on the world famous Bahnhofstrasse, within 10 minutes walk from sightseeing, the business district and Lake Zurich. Caspar Manz, the founder's grandson, established the famous Lobster and Oyster Bar in 1935 and since then it has been a culinary institution amongst gastronomic circles. Pleasant piano live music will welcome you for your aperitif at the Lobby Bar and will accompany you through the evening. over-priced

I have stayed here for over 40 days, and there is nothing special, very expensive for the overall performances. Very poor management the staff other then front desk are very nice and efficient.

in Zurich for business...

Rooms were typical very small Swiss. Front desk staff were very polite and made every effort to be helpful on all requests. The hotel property was average, but I would rate the front desk staff as superior.

On my first night I had to change

On my first night I had to change my room at 02:00 am because I could not sleep with an engine working every 5 minutes on top of my room. THe second room I got was the smallest space I have seen in my entire life. I personally will not stay there again..

very over priced, if you want

very over priced, if you want a room for the day and wish to sleep, room has no heavy curtains or blinds to block out. also no self service aircon

empfehlenswert

Dieses Hotel liegt an der Zürcher Bahnhofstrasse, nur ca. 200m entfernt vom Hauptbahnhof. Das Hotel ist sauber und modern mit reichhaltigem Frühstücksbuffet. Das Personal ist freundlich und mehrsprachig. Wir haben das Hotel jeweils nur für eine Nacht gebucht, um uns ins Zürcher Nachtleben zu stürzen... dafür und auch für Geschäftsleute, ist das Hotel empfehlenswert.
