It was very good. Ten minutes by tram to the railway Zurich HB. Five minutes by food to the lake. Ten minutes by food to the center. Clean, old fashion building. All necessary facilities on the kitchen. May be small room, but for us it was OK, we were traveling a lot. I will advise it to my friends.

We will try to book this location again when we visit our family in Zurich. It couldn't be better! Great place to stay while visiting family in Zurich.

First off it`s a apartment (studio kitchenette) not a hotel. Hotel Ascot (3 minute walk ) owns or lease this building and rent the studio apts cheaper price then their hotel rooms. The other review on this place said it was noisy. I thought it was quiet and I stayed there Dec 28 thru Jan 1 09/10. There is a tram stop right outside the door but there isnt any bell or horn anything and there electric. I think though that builiding is not very insulated against noise. The neighbourhood is very quiet mix of small business and older people. Very safe and clean area. The building has been re-done in the last year or so. I stayed in room number one, first floor, first room on the left. Parquet floor and Ikea style cabinets. Flat screen tv with cable, phone. Complete kitchen with plates, dishes, cutlery, refrigerator etc, *Note* to turn on the power at the kitchenette is to push the left cabinet door until it clicks. You get the key at Hotel Ascot, pretty good staff, good command of english. Zurich is very very expensive. I paid 152$ US a night [...] any other time would be cheaper. 35$ a day parking in their building at the hotel 1$ (chf) swiss franc = 1.03$ US so its close. Monzon internet provider 8$ CHF a hour or 14.90$ CHF for 4 hours and up. I thought it was great location especially for New Years eve (13 minute walk) to the bridge and the party. Tram right outside to one stop to train station and other trams to anywhere , everywhere. 10 minutes to famous shopping. Mc Donalds at the train station, Starbucks across the street from Mc Donalds, food market in the train station and anything you need in that train station. All in all its a great deal with the kitchenette. Quarter Pounder meal upgraded to super size 14$, Large coffee nut and piece of cake at Starbucks16$. Ouch! 1 box of 3 stacks in like ritz crackers at the market 6.90$ Bring your VISA... The bad thing at the apartment was the cheap lousy uncomfortable small mattress and bed itself. I couldnt figure out the control on the heat. too hot while I was there. No AC there for summer time. It was the best deal for what I wanted from Zurich. I spent hours looking for the best deal. Nothing is cheap in Zurich except that lousy mattress...

EXCELLANT LOCATION, EASY TO GET TO, TRAM RIGHT IN FRONT OF DOOR, APARTMENT ADEQUATE PLUS

The apartments were nice, a three minute walk to the Plaza, where you check in at the Hotel Ascot, several restaurants, store, coffee shops were all located. Tram is directly in front of the apartment building, as well. Clean, neat, tidy (but a bit tiny). Shower was Great.
