The 3*** Superior Sorell Hotel Seidenhof is a popular business and leisure hotel in a top location in Zurich. You will soon feel at home here thanks to the hotel's practical and comfortably furnished rooms combined with friendly and uncomplicated service that always remains very professional. The hotel is located directly adjacent to Zurich's famous Bahnhofstrasse with its diverse shopping possibilities. The lakeside boardwalk, numerous restaurants, bars, trendy eateries and cinemas are all within easy walking distance. A lunchtime or evening meal in the hotel's trendy casual Asian Dining restaurant Mishio with its unique garden oasis, is particularly recommended. By air The hotel is located only 8 miles from the Zurich-Kloten International Airport (ZRH). The best way to travel to the city center is to take the train in the direction of the Zurich Hauptbahnhof (main train station), a journey of 10 minutes. The number 10 streetcar, in the direction of Zurich Hauptbahnhof, also travels to Zurich's city center (35 minutes). The journey by taxi or shuttle bus (CHF 25.00) takes approximately 25 minutes. By public transport At the main train station, take the number 6 streetcar (in the direction of Bahnhof Enge), number 7 (in the direction of Wollishofen), number 11 (in the direction of Rehalp) or number 13 (in the direction of Albisgtli). Get off at Rennweg / Augustinergasse, walk back down the street for a distance of approximately 65 feet and turn left at the first intersecting street. You will see the Sorell Hotel Seidenhof after just a few more yards. You can easily walk the streetcar route in approximately 5 minutes. By car As no parking spaces are available at the hotel, hotel advise guests to park their vehicles in the Parkhaus Urania or in the Parkhaus Gessner-Allee. Both multi-story car parks are located just a short distance from the hotel. A day ticket costs CHF 40.00.

Great Location!

Great location, short walk from the Hauptbahnhof. And a short walk to most parts of the old city. Comfortable and clean, friendly staff, but the complimentary breakfast was a little lacking, though the coffee was great!

Great comfortable hotel in very central location

The hotel could not have been in a better location - just a five minute walk from the train station and directly off the main shopping street. The hotel staff was polite and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was good and obviously less expensive than going out, especially considering the prices in this city. I didn't spend a great deal of time in my room but the time I did spend there was enjoyable.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Plan to spend a fair amount of money if you want to eat in a nice restaurant, but if you're on a budget you can get some great sandwiches and other foods at the local grocery, COOP, for minimal cost.

Modern and Comfortable

Perfect location from the train station. Located in the heart of the Bahnhofstrasse Shopping District and only a 5-minute walk away from Lake Zurich and Old Town Zurich. Staff was very friendly and accommodating especially with speaking English. Will definitely stay with them again or a sister hotel.

an excellent stay at the Seidenhof

I was on a visit to Zurich and as always, I have stayed at the Seidenhof hotel. As always, I have enjoyed my stay at this excellent, well-run hotel.

We would definitely stay here

We would definitely stay here again. The location from the train, shopping, Old Town - it was all perfect. The front desk help was excellent and even spoke very good English, which was so helpful, in our case. The room was spacious, clean, and the room service for breakfast was awesome and generous (on the house). Downside, if any, was anything extra like movie, Internet, wifi all came with a credit card charge, but it was available, at least. Loved the nespresso machine in the room!
