Great for a short weekend but amenities were limited
I arrived by car and got a nice room with a large bed and beautiful view. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Nice lobby area and the breakfast buffet was great and worth the money. Unfortunately, I woke up very early in the morning as I could hear doors slamming every couple of minutes as cleaners were tidying up the rooms next door which was a little annoying. However, the receptionist kindly offered free parking to compensate for the inconvenience caused. The slippers were missing in my room and there was a sauna which was supposed to be open from 8am onwards but wasn't switched on (no one was there to assist either, so had to call the main reception in my bathrobe) - there were no facials either which I would expect in an American five star hotel. The hotel is very central but not in the busiest area of Zurich, so not particularly walking distance to the main areas of the city. However, overall I was very pleased with my stay and would recommend this hotel for business trips or short weekends in Zurich. There are two restaurants and the Thai restaurant looked great - shame, I didn't get a chance to try the food there. I would have enjoyed a longer stay at the hotel, if they offered more spa facilities and a nice roof terrace which would have been great since the building is so tall and would have offered a nice view of Zurich city.

Extremely expensive ***** hotel!
Hotel is well located, close to old town and central shopping areas. But the hotel is geared for business people who can charge all the expenses to their companies. A breakfast costs US$ 60, phone calls to Germany $ 5/minute.

Zurich Marriott
I had a guaranteed reservation good for late arrival and paid for the room in advance on [...]. When I arrived at 10:00 PM the hotel had no rooms available. The staff ultimately placed me in a nice hotel and Marriott abosorbed the difference in price. Although the Marriott staff was efficient, the placement process did not begin before I arrived. On a business trip with a late guaranteed arrival, the experience resulted in unnecessary stress. For this reason, I gave the Marriott the lowest scores available, below.

Zurich Marriott Hotel is in a
Zurich Marriott Hotel is in a fantastic location for travelling into Zurich proper, being around a 5 minute walk from the station / Swiss National Museum and a 10 - 15 minute walk from the most famous landmarks in Zurich. Because of this, travel from the airport to the hotel is remarkably easy. During our stay at the hotel, the service we recieved was impecable; from the staff at the front desk to the late-night room service. The rooms were maintained to a high standard and I was very pleased with the facilities in the bedroom and bathroom.

Very average
We arrived on an early flight after a VERY long flight from Los Angeles to Zurich. We were very exhausted and had put in an early check-in request but when we arrived our room wasn't ready and had to go out in the rain until our room was ready. Our room was located in a separate building that was a bit of a maze to get to. The room itself was fine - standard Marriott quality - but it was extremely hot in the room and we were not able to adjust the heat. We called to get it fixed and a few hours later someone came and claimed to fix it but it never got any cooler and there was no way to open any of the windows. The hotel is located on a busy street right of the highway and is about a 15 minute walk to get to the start of the real city. We were just there for a day so it was fine, but if you are planning on staying for a longer visit there are some other nice hotels located more in the center of things that might be more convenient.

A cab from the airport is fairly expensive $50-$60. If you are up for it - try to take the train.

Nice hotel
An American hotel is nice sometimes when traveling a lot. Close to downtown shopping and business. Wished it would have had an more of an American style restaurant to help being away so long.

excellent location
Everything went well! The hotel is very close to the city center (5 to 10 min walk). It is also close to train station. The only inconvenient is the internet. It is not for free. You have to pay to have access to it.

The most expensive city I've ever visited!!! Unless you are super rich, just stay one night and leave. Shop at the stores in the underground train station for food, everywhere else is not afordable!!
