Great Layover at Don Muang Airport
Hotel felt more like a 5 star! Our super low rate did not include breakfast or internet so be aware. There is good food located across the street or in the airport at much better prices. Internet is a problem, if you need it you might want to book a room rate that includes it. Buying it ala cart is about $15 per day! Currently there is no internet at the airport for international travelers but hopefully that will change soon.

If you are having a change of flights in DM airport then the Amari Don Muang Airport hotel is basically the only game in town due to Bangkok traffic etc. The hotel has had its heyday but seems to be trying to keep things up, nice grill/Bar in the lobby(backside), overall a decent deal but a little higher in price considering Bangkok.

If you have a flight that is departing Don Muang Airport then the Amari is a superb location nothing else around back in the days when Don Muang was the main airport this used to be a swinging hotel, it is a huge place and has HUGE prices there is a nice bar and grill with reasonable prices that is open late. Overall it was a convenient stay for my arrival and departure but note the prices.

Nice hotel if you have to flight
Nice hotel if you have to flight from domestic airport. I have been upgraded to executive level without asking, very good rooms.

It used to be a 4-star airport
It used to be a 4-star airport hotel. After closure of the airport this hotel has down-graded to 3-star but still worth staying for casual traveller. It's location is about 20 kms. away from Bangkok downtown.

Kostenloses Upgrade zu Executive-Room erhalten. Preisleistung war gerade noch ok. aber sorry AMARi, deine beste Zeit ist vorbei. Diverse unpofessionelle Reparaturen im Zimmer vor allem im Bad. Dennoch sauber und freundlich.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und super
Das Hotel ist sehr schön und super sauber. Die Leute an der Reception waren nett und hilfsbereit. Allerdings haben wir total übersehen, dass dieses Hotel ja am alten Flughafen liegt, somit hatten wir eine einstündige Hinfahrt und am nächsten Morgen eine einstündige Rückfahrt zum neuen Flughafen. Was sehr schön war, außerhalb konnte man sehr gut einheimisch essen, das ist für uns bei einem Bangkok Aufenthalt absolut wichtig.
