Arnoma Hotel Bangkok

Average. A typical business type hotel - efficient but characterless. en suite needs upgrading - wooden surrounds starting to rot. central for shopping but significant distance from tourist spots so expect heftyish transport costs. we coincided with Chinese new year, so hotel full on two nights and it could not cope effectively with breakfast demands on the following two mornings. Pool on 4th floor quiet and half open - fabulous after dark!

Had to pay for wifi ( per day ) even hostels have free wifi Concierge was suppose to grab us a cab by meter ( but they hustled their way through time and again ) Police tourist were enforcing guidelines on not to be hustled by recommendations to go to jewelry shop, but we got hustled by hotel staff. Hotel staff was had poor communication: they got frustrated over what they couldn't understand. Without even checking for availability on check out time , they just told us we can't. So that means if we were to extend our stay it was a sure no! what a way to keep costumers.

It is our second time that we have been staying in this hotel. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The breakfast is manageable, though not outstanding. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom adequate/basic , but not luxurious. The only real criticism I have is the internet connection. The cheapest package is unlimited downloads for 7 days, which cost you 1000Bath (~33US$) for a connection running at snails pace at best! For that money you may opt to buy a USB modem and a SIM card for 3G (for one month).

It was a great location for shoppers. Wish breakfast was included with our package. Place seems safe for tourists. I can recommend it to anyone.

It is centrally located with many shopping malls. Opposite is the central world and next to hotel there is a big supermarket (big C supermarket).I always chose to stay in this hotel when I come to Bangkok.

Stayed 3 nites. Don ever take if you are given room no. 1206 coz you will be checking into a washing machine. Me n daughter spend our 1st nite in this room n v were unable to sleep due to the noise. Our request to change room the very morning was done quickly by the staff. Staff are very polite n helpful and room is clean but old. Maybe a bit upgrading is needed.

Hotel rooms were ok and I got a good price but the main things about this hotel is its location acros from central world.

Good location & service, especially for shopping & dining. You can get local food elsewhere with reasonable price. Of course if you are looking for branded things, it just at your door step !!

Good lacation but massive jammed area if you want to head to Patumum area and the traffice just standstill for an hour to 2 hours depend on the timing......especially 4pm to 6 pm daily.....Mad house Jam!

Having stayed here several years ago, was disappointed with the overall cleanliness and location of the room. The room allocated was the worst room I have ever stayed in, the smell from the bathroom was absolutely disgusting beyond belief. The room was on the conference floor, so it was always noisy from 6:00 a.m., so you had to wake up then whether you wanted to or not! I would have to seriously think about whether I stay here again or go elsewhere. The positive from this was the friendliness and professionalism showed by the staff throughout the hotel. They are the best asset for the hotel.
