A unique, boutique find near Benjasiri Park
Staying at the Davis Hotel Bangkok is like finding a secret hideaway in the city. With a variety of attractive rooms and suites, this lovely boutique hotel offers Thai-style villas for a rare, more intimate experience. Davis Hotel Bangkok is located between Sukhumvit Road and Rama IV Road, allowing for easy access to the expressway and to public transport. Rates are surprisingly reasonable for these unique rooms, which provide an atmospheric refuge from city clamor.

Overall service is very good.
Overall service is very good. Staffs are nice, and resourceful. Location is a concern that is far from both BTS and MRT station which takes 15 mins at least. Hotel provides outbound tuk tuk to BTS or MRT. It is much better if it can provide inbound service as well.

I couldn't fault this hotel, the
I couldn't fault this hotel, the staff are amazingly friendly and very helpful. The rooms have everything you could ever need and if not it's only a phone call away. The breakfast buffet has an extensive choice as does the dinner buffet. You can walk for about 15 minutes to the SkyTrain station which is only 4 stops from Siam Centre, there are plenty of nearby coffee shops, restaurants, spa centres, pharmacies and an exchange bureau (handy for old or marked US and Euro notes which many hotel will not exchange). We booked a Deluxe Superior room which had a small seating area and a basic kitchen - a great size room for unpacking suitcases and not feeling cramped. This is now my favourite hotel in Bangkok and I will certainly return and try one of their other room types - five in total - as this is truly a small piece of tranquility in a very busy city.

The big problem with the Davis
The big problem with the Davis is its location - not too bad if you plan to spend all your time shopping, otherwise it's a mission to get anywhere outside Sukhumvit. True, taxis are cheap but the roads are grid-locked and the skytrain is a 30 minute walk - unless you're able to catch the hotel's infrequent tuk tuk to the station/Emporium Shopping Centre. Please note that the main pool is currently out of action "until further notice", which came as a complete surprise on arrival. There's a small pool a block away, where I was asked to change in the toilet! Recommend that latest position is checked before booking. Staff very courteous and friendly. Our room was in the "Corner" block (ie the Annex) and did not meet our expections for a hotel of this grade. However the bathroom was excellently appointed - which only served to highlight the deficiencies of the room itself as an en suite to the bathroom!

VERY GOOD HOTEL FOR THE MONEY
THE HOTEL IS VERY GOOD AND STAFF IS FRIENDLY. LOCATION IS A LITTLE AWAY FROM MOST OF THE ACTION IN BANGKOK, BUT IS JUST A VERY CHEAP TAXI DRIVE FROM EVERYWHERE YOU NEED TO GO
