Wonderful location with superb
Wonderful location with superb views of the city from the rooftop bar. Room was large, clean, well maintained and quiet. Air conditioning was efficient without its operation being overly distracting. Breakfast buffet offers something for everyone. Would stay here again.

Bangkok experience
My wife and I have stayed numerous times in Bangkok usually at the Shangri-la. Initially, our impression of the Milennium Hilton was that the room was a bit impractical (no drawers to put clothing for a 4 day stay). Location is good even though it is across the river but we liked taking the ferry which is both convenient to River City or the subway station... and it is a short and relaxing boat trip on a very interesting stretch of the river. To avoid potential traffic congestion to cross the bridge, even when checking in/checking out with baggage, consider taking a taxi to River City and then the Hilton ferry and vice versa ...and it is always easy to catch a taxi outside River City adjacent the Sheraton Royal Orchid. The staff are very friendly and professional. The views from the roof deck bar are simply grand. The ground floor restaurant/coffee shop excels and is much better than the Shangri-la which is supposed to be the best in town for a buffet style luncheon. The cheese selection is outstanding. They need to somehow address the adjacent nulla which can be a little odorous at times if one is in the open air sections on the ground floor area...and may also result in mosquito populations that appear to be a little higher than normal. The local market adjacent the hotel will likely thrill newcomers to Asia. Be adventurous and jump aboard the local ferry, also adjacent the hotel, and travel a few miles upstream and you'll pass lots of tourist attractions for only a few Thai baht (just get off when you've had enough and jump aboard another one heading back ). Definitely, this is our hotel for future stays in Bangkok.

Not So Shiny as in Photos
My expectations were not fulfilled. I was on a businness trip to Bangkok and stayed in this hotel for three nights. Given the costly nightly rate, I was expecting more luxurious and comfortable rooms.

The hotel has good infrastructure,
The hotel has good infrastructure, when you look at the overall product it does not give you a feeling of a 5 star property more on the lines of 4star for Asian standards. The frontdesk and concierge staff seem to lack the passion to deal with customers. As a customer one feels like just another number. The room that was allocated to us had great views, room lighting was too dull on the writing table or even in the mirrors. One evening we had no lights in the room for over 2 hours. Housekeeping supervisor should check the cleanliness hygiene on the toilet pot and the carpet, we could find urine stains on the floor and hair from previous guests. For the 4 days we stayed those were not cleaned. We were 2 adults and 1 child but there were only 2 towels provided on all days, and we needed to always ask for another. The breakfast is good and the staff are ready to please. For a leisure traveller there is no personal touch, staff are friendly but lack the desire to exceed expectations.

Great Hotel on the riverside in
Great Hotel on the riverside in Bangkok, with free shuttle boats across the river to either Riverside Shopping area or Sky train station. Beautiful location, clean well maintained rooms, several restaurants on site. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Nonni on the go
Millenium Hilton Bangkok
There is a magnificent river view where water taxis, longtail boats and at night dinner excursions are constantly flowing with their colorful lights. The staff could not be more gracious. Authentic Thai foods offered at breakfast. Close to the Royal Palace -a must see with the Emerald Buddha inside the grounds. A lovely cultural experience!!! Go to the close by Traditional Thai performance with multi course dinner!! Yum!
