Montien Riverside Hotel Bangkok

We stayed here on New Year's Eve. Gala dinner is compulsory which, in my opinion, was not impressive and surely not worth paying THB 1900/person. Food was ok but we expected more variety. Shows on stage were boring except the band was good. The hotel in general is old but classic. Checking-in took forever even we arrived there late (4pm). Room was clean and spacious with nice river view. In summary, it was a pleasant stay.

The most important thing to note about this hotel is the location- it is far away from EVERYTHING. You can take a cab to Siam Square, the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, etc. of course but with Bangkok traffic, it can take up to an hour to go just two miles. I would definitely recommend staying closer to Sukhumvit, Siam Square, or near the Patpong district at one of the many hotels by Lumphini Park. We wished we would have! Then you're in walking distance to everything! And- those hotels are the same price per night, if not less than this hotel. The day we were at Wat Pho/the Grand Palace, we had to ask four cab drivers to take us back before one would because the hotel was so far! While the people who worked at the hotel were VERY friendly and the lobby was beautiful, the rooms were such a letdown! They are old and in desperate need of remodeling. The beds were hard and the shower was small. We didn't realize our room was a smoking room so we had to endure three nights in a room that smelled like stale cigarette smoke. They did come to spray with air freshner but it only masked the smell for awhile. We were here for a wedding and the reception the hotel put on in their banquet room on the ground floor was great- they did a nice job organizing the event and making sure it ran smooth all night. The restaurant on the 4th floor had a buffet breakfast every morning, which is included in the price of the room, which was alright- nothing special.

Brilliant Thai service which would put Western establishments to shame. Staff wore traditional Thai costumes and together with the marble atrium gave an incredible first image. Nothing was too much trouble. Room was huge as was the bathroom and had a view right down the river. A little way from the action but if you can tie in with the hotel shuttle to the rail station it works OK. Only real drawback is that there are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity other than the hotel's. Recommend

An excellent facility and a most beautiful 5-star hotel. Staff are just wonderful and the food is very good. Breakfast inclusion was a real bonus.

This hotel is superb. Our room on level 18 overlooked the Chao Praya River and the beds were huge and comfortable. Compliment-ary bottled water was in the room. There is a fantastic Thai restauarant nearby on the river in addition to the many in house restaurants. The buffet breakfast had everything. While the hotel is "out of town" there is a hourly courtesy shuttle bus to downtown Bangkok. A late check-out - 2.00pm - was great with our flight departure at midnight. We were able to store our luggage for the afternoon while we used the shuttle bus into town. On our return we were able to shower in the gym area despite having checked out earlier. This is 5 star luxury at an amazing price.

中心からは離れていますが、中心地やショッピングセンター、タクシン駅などに無料送迎バスがあり便利でした。また、リバーサイドの部屋では夜景がきれいです。リーズナブルです。駐車場無料。レンターカーの方は便利です。

中心部に移動するにはかなり不便な場所にあります。 タクシー利用でも、時間帯(特に朝夕)によって渋滞する場所を通りますので、ロスタイムが大きいですね。 ホテル自体は各所に老朽化がうかがえましたが、、室内は清潔で、広さも「普通」といった感じでした。価格とのバランスは取れているのでは？と思います。 ホテル周辺には徒歩でいけるようなレストラン、スーパーなどは見当たりませんでした。 ホテル内でゆっくり過ごすには、そこそこいいのでは？と思います。

Sehr abgewohntes, schäbiges Zimmer, Hotel ist nur als "Übernachtungshotel" geeignet, nichts für einen längeren Aufenthalt. Kein Restaurant, 7-Eleven oder ähnliches (wie sonst Bangkoküblich) in der Nähe. Abends ist man auf ein Taxi angewiesen. Die wissen das auch, entsprechend hohe Festpreise werden verlangt. Da gibt es Unmengen schönere, günstigere und besser gelegene Hotels. Frühstücksraum gross und hell, Auswahl und Qualität der Speisen gut.

Etwas außerhalb aber mit kostenlosem Busshuttle. Sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück + sehr freundliches + hilfsbereites Personal
